Review: For the time being, Mhysa's true identity shall remain incognito. We have no problems with that and in fact, we respect a breakthrough artist who is trying to let their music speak for itself, without all the social extras that too often swell up our scene with noise. This is the artist's debut LP, Fantasii, and it lands on Rabit's wayward Halcyon Veil label - just perfect. As the title so boldly implies, the album resides in a strange and compelling world of designer sonics and freeform sound collages which cover dozens of genres and influences. It's a dream in and of itself. Given its broad reach and diversity of sounds, it'll undoubtedly appeal to the less rigid ears, perhaps to those who enjoy bass music with a few extra perks than just the low frequencies. For fans of Throwing Shade et al.
