Sublime Bass Vol 15
Various
Krausey - "Power Of Light" (feat J Rokka - Briktop & Krausey remix) - (4:52) 135 BPM
Review: It's clear to see that after a string of very well received compilations towards the tail end of 2018 that the LW Recordings camp are back on the road meaning business. They therefore kick off the new year in like minded fashion, presenting us with this treasure trove of beauties as the 15th edition of their celebrated 'Sublime Bass' series. We here a range of styles involved, from the rolling post dubstep vibes of DGGZ's remix of 'Silked', to the more big room flavours of 'Fumble' by SP3CTRUM. Our highlights are without are the masterful future garage processings of Disperto Certain's 'Sudden Flames', along with the super groovy 'Archiva' from Soxx.

Review: As a consistent label project, it's hard to ignore how much work LW Recordings have been putting in over the past few months, bringing forward high quality compilation after high quality compilation. Here we see them unveil the 12th edition of their 'Sublime Breaks & Beats' series, boasting twenty five original scorchers. For us the immediate highlights have to include the super groovy chord movements and catchy bass melodies of 'Simmer Skank' from Zemon, alongside Blackboxx's smooth roller 'Closer' and Eater's punchy trap sheller 'Pop It'.

Leftfield Bass Selections Vol 03
Various
Contxt - "Right Here" (original mix) - (4:21) 137 BPM
Review: There really seems to be no stopping the LW Recordings collective as they march forward with the third edition of their Leftfield Bass Selections series, this time bringing together 25 powerhouse anthems, perfect for turning any dance to a zoo. Styles range from the futuristic breakbeat themes of 'Justice' from Paket, to the more relaxed 4x4 UKG rhythms of 'No One Gives A' from Flawless Order & G 'Baffled' Smoove. For us the immediate standouts from this one have to include Devil Dragon Tatoo's tech funky hybrid in 'Shaman', Brick Top's abstract riddim smasher in 'Prometheus' and of course Deep Impact's potent rework of 'Hot Ting', originally put together by Lady Waks & Mutantbreakz alongside MC Steppa Style.

Sublime Breaks & Beats Vol 11
Various
Crazy Bank - "Got 2 Have U" (original mix) - (5:27) 135 BPM
Original Primate - "Vanilla Kush" (original mix) - (5:45) 135 BPM
Review: It seems as if there is no stopping the fire that LW Recordings have lit as they put together yet another heavyweight compilation, this time featuring 25 absolute stormers from some of the waviest faces in the scene. Stylistically, the LP ranges quite drastically from neurotic breakbeat rhythms and hardstyle bassline to more chilled out UKG themes and unusual 2 steppy flavours. For us the immediate highlights are quite obvious, those being Gosize's euphoric breakbeat adventure in the emotive chords and perfectly crafted breaks of 'Take Me To Heaven', along with Nadine's dancefloor heavy rework of 'Riff' by Nubass. A special mention has to also go to TBFM & Chilllito for their incredibly smooth 'Did You Really Care' creation.

Sublime Breaks & Beats Vol 10
Various
Sekt-87 - "Middle Finger" (original mix) - (3:46) 138 BPM
Review: After a brief break, the LW Recordings flagship is back in full effect as they release the tenth edition of their infamous 'Breaks & Beats' compilation. They have packed the rafters out for this one with solid contributions from the likes of Sekt-87, Le Duke, Twin & Peaks, Danny Blaze and a host of other hot shot faces. The compilation oozes diversity from start to finish, which is why our favourites include the dubstyle vibes of 'Confusion Dub' from Mr Mt, the reesey grittiness of Tchicaya's 'Fire Spitter' and of course the funk infused breaksy flavours of Devastate's 'Let It Roll'.

Review: LW Recordings have thrown a serious party on their latest 'Sublime Bass' compilation, collecting together some of the most sought after names in the bass scene for a 25 track tearout. This tenth edition of the release serious sees the likes of X5 Dubs, Sample Junkie, Tengu, Killjoy, Priceless and a tonne of other highly talented producers come together for a real multigenre showcase. Our favourites would have to be the smooth yet grimey collaborative sounds of 'Fractals' from Kareful and LTHL, the futuristic hardcore rolls of Sekt-87's 'Gangster' and of course the violent dubstep flavours of 'Depth' from Sirius.

Review: Labelworx's dedication to curating the most far-reaching, extensive compilations across all the best genres continues, and here they return to the breaks scene for their fifteenth representation session, with the vibe remaining as electrifying and exciting as it did on Volume One. Ranging from Tribe Steppaz and Mr Sir's amen-ravished rave homage "Circa Rave 94" to the tightly balanced euphoric synth spikes and muscular riddims on K G B's "Trance Lucid" via Motna's deep and driving electro-influenced "Time", every shade and flavour of dance music's most melting pot-primed genre is explored and celebrated with style. Full of fresh talent and not a dull moment; this ticks every compilation box possible.
