Review: Solid albums within electronic music these days are a surprisingly rare occurrence, often being tainted with repetitive sound design and filler recordings. However we can safely say this new 'Forms' album from Jumo is a masterclass in electronic music production. He showcases an incredibly versatile musical palet, as you can hear as we sweep between the softer vocal textures of 'Glory (feat Hier Soir)' across the to the more experimental percussive layerings of '11PM'. For us the real standouts have to include the title track 'Forms', which splashes majestically between unpredictable percussive snaps and emotional chord progressions. Another highlight has to be the more stripped back rolling style of 'Ivre', which utilizes future bass-style lead synths in combination with masterfully processed vocal sprinkles. Amazing stuff!
