Review: Cologne-based artist No Point debuts on local institution Traum Schallplatten with his first EP titled Rediscoveries. The enigmatic artist successfully released music and DJ'ed in the past under a different name; the only hint the label gives us is that he hails from Hamburg and that the EP was inspired 'by the process of rediscovering the beauty of electronic music after a longer break from making music'. A solid offering here; there's the emotive dancefloor drama of "No Point, SNMN - Sauce Code", the label's idiosyncratic 'maximal' sound well represented on "Elephant" and the misty-eyed and bittersweet vocal-led title track among others.

Review: Davidovitch is an electronic musician born in Switzerland who lives in Lausanne. Having appeared on Traum Schallplatten's Tour De Traum project several times, they thought it was the right time to feature his first solo Ep on the label. The result is the sublime dancefloor drama of "Jardin De Minuit" a deep journey joining the dots between minimal and dub techno. This is followed by the emotive tech house of Autour De Minuit" with its subtle Detroit techno flourishes that add to its soulfulness, while the glassy-eyed and bittersweet "Midnight Alternative" which is the perfect segway into the equally emotive "My Midnight Dark".

Review: Cologne institution Traum Schallplatten are excited to release the brand new 'Little We Know' EP from Hamburg's techno veterans Extrawelt. If you have ever seen one of the pair's live acts, this EP very much embodies the experience with the flow of energy it generates - and it's highly addictive. The bumping and rolling groove of opening track "Mr Wednesday" harks back to their output in the mid-noughties: a wicked mixture of minimal and electro house's best elements. The title track follows and flips the script a bit on this deep and highly emotive tech house journey, and finally the hypnotic "Sem" is perfect for those heads down moments under the strobe lights.
