Review: Leeds duo are off to a promising start in 2015, this being only their second release but showing sure signs of studio prowess. Starting off with the curious "Mend" with its slow yet powerful beat and dense stabs which chug away like a steam train, sounding almost like a techno record played on the wrong speed.. But wait until those emotive strings and mesmerising bell melodies come fading in, they're sublime! "Rooms" is more straight head but still as emotive and melancholic; the kind of soulful epic that could equally have been at home on Kompakt or Innervisions. Speaking of which, the remix of "Mend" by Tom Demac keeps on with the same vibe, with its infectious and wonky Life & Death style melody, epic and brilliant also!
