It starts with the mesmerizing dancefloor wooziness of "Dublovr" by Affie and Leila Yusuf, featuring melodious and acid-flecked vibes. Zobol's "Sense The Consensus" followed by offering a warmth electro bliss while we dive into the depths of the musical abyss with Acidulant's "The View of Her Shade" delivering ultra-deep and eyes-closed acid electro. Review: Working under their vowel-free side project, veteran duo Hardfloor kick-starts this acid-focused split release. "The Unknown Mailman" is a classic slice of 303 drama, with acid lines peaking and ebbing continuously. Acidulant goes down a similar route on the rolling snares of "Reposition", while Mark Archer explores a different approach on "Flangacid". With a focus on a darker sound, he drops tortured tweaks over a steely rhythm. The release also features two deviations from this approach. Elisa Bee's "Full Time Dreamers" weaves acid into a break beat fuelled hardcore track. At the other end of the spectrum, Mutex drops the deep techno of "Jack4Acid".
