Review: With a name that immediately incites fear and fury, Forbidden Society's "Forcer" is all distorted, computerized vocals and whirring synth drones. This is dark, nasty D&B at its best, recalling some Lifted moments with Spor, Ewun and Evol Intent. Stuttering drums, groaning bass and twisted SFX make this one a winner, whilst the accompanying "Incarnation" brings in the raw talent of Computerartist for another sci-fi extravaganza, this time with mashed up pumping lyrics, syncopated rhythms and a discernable Skrillex influence shining through with rock and dubstep undertones. Music for the next generation.
Review: Straight in with the tech vibes, Audio gets things smoking with "Burn It Down", a heavy as hell smasher with a serious stepper vibe. Even forgetting those dangerous post-apocalyptic atmospherics, this joint means business, and Audio's not leaving until that dancefloor has been well and truly conquered. Donny & Forbidden Society reign in pure evil for their darkly disturbing collaborative effort "Creator & Destroyer" fixing industrial breaks to chilling samples. The Czech Republic's own badmen Forbidden Society round off this smasher of a single with "The Punch", a digital bonus track that offers screwface bass, Leftfield sampling and filthy breakbeats with a neuro twist. Big, heavy and very nasty.
