Review: With its oddball spoken samples and strange cuts on the fills, there's a wry High Rankin-style silliness/sarcasm on "Not Dubstep" as it licks back and forth over a ricochet, slightly manic bass tones and tripletty swing. "Who's Your Daddy" flips for an even more experimental edge as a cavalcade of harmonic basses fall over into whirling pools of total pranged out bass textures. Handle with care: these need to be dropped when you're confident of your dancefloor's sanity.

Review: Multi Function have never sat still or played by the rules in D&B and it seems newcomer Gnome is a kindred spirit. Making his label debut, the UK artist lays down four truly unique D&B cuts that are near-on impossible to categorise. Big vocals you'd expect from the likes of Cartoon, roller coaster synths you'd usually hear on Maduk records, that gospel-level feel good unity you Fox Stevenson cuts, all underpinned by the type of gritty, aggy bass that's expected from Multi Function, this EP is genuinely one of a kind... And hopefully a sign of more for the future.
