Review: There is no doubting the majesty of Garage Shared as an overarching titan of the new school UKG world, with their label operations being among the best in the game right now, a theme amplified and proven further by the pure magnificence of this here compilation. Being the fourth in their self-titled series, they have once again pulled together a seriously vibrant collection of artists from their ranks, unleashing a collection of 30 outstanding garage originals. The cast of this incredible performance is nothing but quality, with the likes of Soulecta, Tuff Culture, WZA, Smokey Bubblin; B, DJ Jackum, Gemi, FooR, DJQ and more all lending their hand. It's such a great way to celebrate the success of the label over the last 3 years, whilst also applauding the garage community as a whole.

Review: At this point, it is genuinely quite difficult to keep finding words to describe just how impressive the Garage Shared output has been over the course of 2021, This latest compilation project sees them banner up the full collection of artists they have been working alongside with a monstrous tracklisting, featuring 15 original scorchers for us all to enjoy. The tracklisting itself features the likes of Oh My Daze, Soulstate, Deja, Bear Like, Howden, Lazy Susan and a bag of other Garage Shared regulars who have all had pretty impressive 2021s. The highlights and immediate standouts however have to include the sunshine-laden swings of 'Temperature' from Lewis Taylor, drenched in nostalgia and old school 2-step energy, alongside the charming vocal chops of 'All I Need' from DJ DJEGOR and the futuristic rhythmic switches of '1 Touch' from Sub Templa.Big up the Garage Shared crew for another wicked project and a wavy way to round off the year.

Review: Break's Another Way album set the bar once more, as his albums always do, and now we're in the throes of its long-awaited remix project. The first single is courtesy of Workforce and Skeptical, two of the hottest producers in the game, who have both remixed Edge of Time and City Slickers respectively. The former has been spaced up from its original raw self into something much more celestial, more synthetic. It's still organic sounding but now packs much more of a punch. Skeptical has done what he does best and rolled out the original across a techy canvas of monotony and sheer grit, his penchant for simplicity shining through in spectacular fashion. Unreal.

Review: Kyo are Hannes Norrvide of Lust For Youth and fellow Posh Isolation artist Frederik Valentin. On their new offering titled All The Same Dream, they recruit New York City's Jeuru - a recent transplant to Copenhagen - whose treated r'n'b style vocals compliment the Danish avant-pop auteurs and their bold/monochromatic sound. From the emotional outpouring of "To All My Future Lovers", the glacial shoegaze-ish drone textures of "Because Of You", or the evocative closer "Take Me Home" where a slow burning industrial groove accompanies Jeuru's haunting monologue - this is a deep and introspective experience that's perfect for solitary after hours sessions.

Review: Wavepool 2 is mixed and curated by Plastician, whose Rinse FM radio show was the platform for this movement to be brought the wider public attention. His Survey parties in Phonox being the initial club night where the scene established itself outside of the internet. This time we have a 29 track album of the tracks: the collection featuring some of the Wave movement's key players including Klimeks, Kareful, Skit, Sorsari, Deadcrow, Anubis XIII, Hnrk, Noah B, Brothel and more. It's clear to see that Plastician (real name Chris Reed) has called upon some of the scene's most noted producers to stake its claim. - this album is another statement from the man from Croydon whose sound is not trying to disappear into obscurity any time soon.
