What could be better than getting a postcard from a stranger? Really, what a nice thing. Anyway, something better than that is this bonkers EP by Garth Trinidad and Mateo Senolia. The bewildering shuffle of "Sacre Sucre" is apparently inspired by the long gone time of 'Haitian sugar cane and rituals'. "Hair & Make Up" leaps to the hazy, early hours ladies room of a club deep in '90s New York, before "You Showed Me" takes a dive into flower power retro pop a la The Beta Band's Flowers. Finally things wind up with the warm evening beach vibes of "La Pacifica" featuring a hip beat-style narration by Trinidad himself.
