Review: The Nick Warren-backed Hope imprint revisit their roots with this lush, glittering slice of prog from Polish party polisher Tom Glass. With the stark tech-like prowess of Romboy but the funk of Luke Fair, it resonates with shivering cinematic emotion. Remix-wise Betoko adds depth and vibrancy in the same way Sasha did to Hot Chip's "Flutes" a while back. In a word: big!
Review: New one from the always on point Hope Recordings, a label whom with sporadic releases (less than one a month this year), always build anticipation and excitement for what's next. They don't disappoint with this latest progressive bomb from Dubspeeka that brings a nostalgic warehouse vibe to the dancefloor once again. 'Back To Basics' is deep, and intriguing, delivering plenty of energy to lift the atmosphere up a few gears. Where it really triumphs is the magical (and aptly titled) Cloud Surfing mix from the legend that is Nick Warren. Everyone needs to hear this record!!
Review: Nick Warren is one of the key seminal electronic DJ and Producers, still flying the flag worldwide. From groundbreaking compilations with Global Underground, to releases on Renaissance, and of course being one half of Way Out West.. This guy has done it all. His latest on Hope (a label he A&R's) is surely inspired by recent tours of Argentina as to be expected, it is sheer class. Uber cool proggy rhythms and a sound so refined it already sounds like a classic. Some great remixes to choose from too.. So dive right in!
