Review: Twenty-year-old producer Jabo recently saw his zouk-bass-goes-t-Jamaica epic, Harissa, get a universal thumbs up including radio plays from Toddla T. Now his Belgian label Lowup have commissioned heavyweight remixes of both original EP tracks. First up Lewis Cancut delivers a searing electro-house/reggaeton hybrid, sewn together with lasers. Elsewhere Beauchamp turns "Pastilia" into a haunting voodoo percussion joint, whilst DJ Mellow takes us on a digi-Tropical-bass odyssey. A killer original dealt justice by equally killer mixes.
