Review: The main mix here is the gem, with its effortlessly cool vibe, its contagious beat and its stunningly sleek, soft vocal, but it's not until you hear the instrumental that you gain a full appreciation for how silky smooth, and magnetically seductive the production truly is, the strings are romantic and the bass, much like Barry White's nerve tingling voice, is deep and suggestive. The Melodyman revison has more of a garage feel, the drums are much more poignant which encourages more of a dancing vibe, echo added to the vocal also brings us closer to the world of the dancefloor.

Review: Melodymathics brings their various artists concept to another level with a new line of 12 releases. Artists from all over the world are rounded up to bring funk and disco inspired house tracks that are sure to make an impression. With this first EP in the new series, they open the door to a new era in which 'happy, danceable music with 70's and 80's influences is the sound of the future.' We could not have said it better ourselves really. There's funky/lo-slung latin disco courtesy of Sue Avenu's "Midnight Boogie" (feat Kunde), G Markus gets all deep and sultry on us with the familiar vocal on "Oktogon" and Carmine Giuliano serves up some loopy sexy house shenanigans "Get Down To It".

Review: Melodymathics label boss Melodymann has pulled off something of a coup here, persuading Bulgarian hero KiNK and Belgian techno stalwart Fabrice Lig to join forces. The fine "Charleroi DC" is available in both "House" and "Techno" mix variants; both make great use of sparkling, Detroit style futurist synth motifs, dreamy pads and fizzing drum machine percussion. The expansive package also includes a trio of remixes from other like-minded producers. Detroit Swindle steps up first with a wonderful late night interpretation that boasts tougher drums, dustier grooves and some fine new musical touches, before Melodymann reinvents the track as a rich, jammed-out deep house roller. Finally, techno survivor Ian O'Brien delivers an impeccable trip into mid '90s tech-house territory that's shot through with classic machine soul.

Review: Label boss Melodymann is in good company on this latest release. While his own "May Deep" is an adept interpretation of 90s deep house thanks to its tight drums and breathless vocal samples, it doesn't compare to Amtek & E Freak Vs Mike Ekim's "I Want You". Over rolling drums and a stepping rhythm, the authors drop a sub-bass that's reminiscent both of E-Dancer and 2-step. Dan Curtin's contributions are also impressive; the US producer delivers two versions of "Deserted Station", the first, a jacking, sweat-soaked affair powered by a buzzing bass and shaking percussion, the second more stripped back, robotic and angular - and even more effective.

Review: The Melodymathics imprint launches with four tracks of deep and dreamy, wide-eyed goodness from the combined talents of Alex Agore and label boss The Melodymann. Agore's "No Name 4" is a liquid delight - a fluid, emotion-rich, enveloping take on classic US house, all breathy vocal samples, sensual melodies and warm, late night hustle. Belgian producer Melodymann drops two gems. The first, "I Want It", is unsashamedly warm and sexy, all comfy chords, twinkling electronics and enveloping pads. "Beat The Drums", the EP's standout moment, is a little rougher and tougher, charging off on a sweaty percussion workout with the simple addition of a relentless bassline and a few choice vocal samples.
