Review: More UK bass vibes straight from... Spain. Yep, A2C, the producer matches the Brits with his authentic UKG productions, is back with a stop-gap track, "Crazy Fill". A perfect DJ tool, the tune features choppy female vocal samples, an infectious bounce and retro organ riffs.
Review: Spanish bass hero A2C is back with a one-track short sharp shock, Sound Boy, following a recent compilation EP. Keeping us on our toes this new track will grab you by the short and curlies and have you dancing on speaker stacks for the next month or so until his next installment arrives. Having said that this song is uncharacteristically mellow for A2C - with a gorgeous, lilting guitar strum evoking thoughts of balmy sunsets whilst a headnodding bassline gently chugs away underneath. Mellow vibes aplenty!
Review: Straight up strutters and dancefloor cutters take note: A2C's just updated his ever-evolving repertoire with two of his finest productions to date, and they're tailor-made for you. "Adiction" is a moreish twist on the classic house and late 90s UKG flavours with modern production muscle in the kick department. "Me Feel So High", meanwhile, switches from amens so rude they'd make Slipmatt blush. Addiction says it all... We guarantee you'll be back for more.
Review: Following a recent spate of singles compilations, Spain's A2C is now delivering a new selection of UK-influenced sizzlers. The You House EP is the latest and, although boasting only two tracks, is packed with the solid quality production that he's known for. Both tracks have a UKF bounce but the title track adds some raw fuzz to the sparse 4/4 beats and doomy synths. "The Hole" on the other hand, is livelier with skippy pumping garage vibes, snippets of MC vocals and some big hands-in-the-air swooshes.
Review: Since 2010 Spanish producer A2C has repeatedly delivered a string of relentlessly thumping sizzlers almost exclusively for Pandora Box. Here we get a third collection of these singles, this one concentrating on his most recent material (dating from 2013/14). He likes it deep with thick and solid 4/4 production - highlights include the bouncy filth of "Distorsion", the breaky wobble heavy electro-swing of "One More Time" and the cosmic techno vibes of "Original House".
Review: With tracks usually named things like Wasabi, its not surprise that this Spanish producer produced some seriously hot n spicy beats, and this is especially true of his latest EP, Distortion. The two main tracks here, "Distortion" and "Escape" are both killer slices of tough, bassy, late night house, all peppered with lashings of funk. The 4/4 beats give way to a breakier sound for the VIP mix of "Inferno", which is also included.
Review: A2C return with a second helping of gnarly, swinging garage beats on the wonderful Pandora's Box imprint. As per usual, it's a fine blend of house, breaks and a dab of boogie to give the tunes that extra funk. Our favourites this time around have to be "Loop Man" and "The Grove" - it's like being back in the late '90s. Do check this if you're nostalgic and need some proper garage soul into your life...
Review: Our favourite Spaniard A2C returns to Pandora Box with some of his inimitable breaks flair in what is probably his most daring outing yet. The title track is an absolutely storming, filthy garage bomb with some seriously abrasive low-end, While "Funky Out" is its more chopped-up, grooved-out spawn. "Original House" on the other hand is a punchy, MAW style workout - those breaks are very tasty indeed.
Review: Little-known Spanish producer A2C specializes in the kind of tough, chunky late night deep house that should appeal to a wide range of DJs. Take "Wasabi", for example. With its heavily compressed kicks, bold electro-tinged bassline, garage-influenced vocal stabs, woozy pads and clandestine effects, it sounds like a rougher, more urban take on the Hypercolour sound. "Space" inhabits similar territory, with classic US garage drums, swirling melodies and touchy-feely female vocal samples being joined by a gargantuan UKG bassline and rumbling late night sounds. It's bold, brassy, and shamelessly floor-friendly - just the thing to get dancefloors moving this winter.
Review: Four new incendiary tracks here from A2C that cover a range of styles that dwell under the all-encompassing roof of bass. Yep, this Spanish breaks don is on a mission to get dancefloors aflame, touching on chopped sample-laden dark garage ("Inferno'), raw and shuffly haunted house ("Keep Up"), breaks-heavy electro ("The Mb") and even pumped up, broken down diva-fuelled D&B ("Kick And Bass").
Review: "You Lost": Two of the worst words to ever go together in the history of the English language. Unless it's by way of this pumping, slightly psychedelic tech-funk-flavoured breakbeat thumper from longstanding Spanish producer A2C then, ironically, you actually win. "On" is more your classic stabby bass breakbeat with a funky, nagging low-end groove, a series of well textured basses and some delicate piano strokes. Trust us: There are no losers here.
