Review: Coyu has commissioned remixes of tracks from last year's Post Raw Era series, and while the results are varied, they are also impressive across the board. First up is Suara regular Flug, who turns "Always Wanting More" into a lean, rolling rhythm that resounds to ponderous vocals and searing acid lines. Temudo, who graced Soma last year, follows a similar path as Flug with his take on "Newoldgen",dropping a dense tribal affair that's populated by wild drops and builds. Jay Clarke changes tact on his version of "Flangerism", as churning chords flow over a more stepping rhythm. Meanwhile, the Chemtrailz Freestyle remix of "Descontrol" rounds off the release with frazzled, pulsating bass tones.

Review: Coyu opens his account for 2021 with the fourth instalment of the Technostalgia series, which sees him take influence from a myriad of influences to create new strains of contemporary techno. "Technostalgia 2.0" sees the Suara boss drop a peak-time, percussive rhythm that drops and builds with laser-like precision. On "Contraindication", he deploys looped vocal samples and and rave stabs over pounding kicks, while the intense, Speedy J-like "The Loop" resounds to bursts of white noise and propulsive, metallic snares. Rounding off the release is "Hagale", where he combines a ghetto-style rhythm with a cacophony of tribal chants to create a distinctive new fusion.

Review: Following a release on Just This this year, My Flower teams up with Darse for this four-track EP on Suara. "Hydra" is a bleep-laden, driving track with a hypnotic, icy edge. By contrast, a warmer undercurrent runs through the title track, and it is brought to life by a tranced out synth melody that is supported by a pulsating groove. On "Echidna" the collaborators also opt for a trance-influenced aesthetic, but this time it is more nuanced, with haunting vocal samples accompanying the melodic synths. Last but not least is "Manticore", which puts the focus back on the dance floor thanks to a relentless, electronic rhythm.

Review: Berlin electro-house legends Tiefschwarz make a surprising appearance on upfront tech house label Suara here with a pretty fierce EP. Outside of remixes recently for the likes of Gruuv, International Deejay Gigolos and Mobilee - brothers Ali and Basti Schwarz rarely appear outside of their established Souvenir imprint - and we're sure that Barcelona-based Suara don't take this for granted. Their new EP features the tunnelling and steely stomp of "Some Thing" with its druggy monologue that disappears down a long trail of reverb, and the emotive minimalism of "Thinking Of You" which receives a full throttle rework geared for peak time use - by ascendant Italian Marco Faraone (Drumcode/REKIDS).

Review: Manchester born Mark Bradbury aka Rudosa has been crafting his trade as a DJ/producer in his hometown since 2008, delivering an intelligent yet driving strain of techno. Following up some great tracks on Second State and Noir, his next banger comes courtesy of Spanish label Suara and it is some of the hardest hitting material we have heard from the label yet. The No Man's Land EP features the barrelling peak time intensity of "Smash The System", the full throttle journey aboard the acid express on "Run Riot", and his relentless take on early '90s trance as heard on "Dreamland".
