18:18 follows last year's Horizon release with this crafty EP. "Escaping Fate" resounds to dense, shuffling drums and filters that swirl in and out seductively, while the title track is a continuation of the approach, as 18:18 copper-fastens metallic percussion onto a stepping rhythm. On "Yukuna's Chant", 18:18 opts for a straight tribal groove that features crunchy hi hats and eerie synth lines, while "Tribute To Baalham" sees this emerging producer fuse dystopian riffs with a pile-driving rhythm. Shifting gear again, he rounds off the release with "Down The Stream", a bubbling electro track that resounds to frazzled acid and ghostly pads.Get new release alerts
