Review
French label Minibar delivers a high-quality minimal release from Ben Vedren. The title track manages to host dark and light moods as a repetitive rhythm track supports lithe drums that skit across an atmospheric chord sequences like clouds blown about on a windy day. The inclusion of a waif-like vocal tips the balance in the favour of the track's deeper elements. As its title suggests, "More Dub" is based on a tracky, dubby groove with half-heard vocals and tight claps also populating the arrangement, but Vedren takes it back to a more musical place for "I Know You More", with a massive chord sequence breaking down over a tight rolling backing track.Get new release alerts
