Ever since making his debut on Wiggle way back in 2005, Manuel Sahagun has delivered a steady stream of high-quality releases that variously explore his takes on deep house and tech-house. What Is Time?, the Argentinian producer's first outing on Minor Notes, is typically accomplished, interesting and analogue rich. He first joins the dots between laidback electro, acid house and turn-of-the-90s deep house on 'Le Mirage', before opting for a more rolling, hypnotic, late-night house sound on 'Future On Earth'. '2 Hour Roots' sounds like Larry Heard jamming with Boyd Jarvis, Timmy Regisford and freestyle-era Louie Vega, while 'Early & Late' is a picturesque, slow-motion house number tailor-made to soundtrack sunsets and sunrises.Get new release alerts
