Royal Dynamic - AKA Melbourne-based twosome Minus 1 and Brother John - describe their "anything goes", party-starting sound as a mash-up of "hip-hop, urban, R&B, dubstep, dance and electro". In other words, it's a kind of urban-centric Aussie take on the Ed Banger sound, with a few less arched eyebrows. Here, their gargantuan "Hip Hop" single gets a serious going over from Melbourne Syndicate, who turn it into a grizzled chunk of gnarly, acid-flecked electro-house bounciness, complete with sweary shout outs from Mr X and more pounding low-end than you can shake a bejewelled fist at.
