LuvDisaster star Subsid aka Bruno Henrique Rezende de Souza makes his Soul Deep Recordings debut with a typical soulful swagger. Blending soul, jazz and breakbeat, Subsid's liquid funk comes from a warm, intelligent place. With a keen ear for technique and a real flair for the top end, it sounds crazy, but Subsid's cymbal programming is a thing of beauty. Technological geekery aside, this double-tracker is a perfect precursor to a night on the town - rolling bass, flowing movement and laid-back yet uptempo beats, "I Gave You Everything" has it all. "I'd Do" has more of a Brazilian-style lounge jazz influence; chilled but on the mark. Sharp and smooth in equal measures, it's the real deal.Get new release alerts
