In the case of "Deep, Dark, Place", it's voodoo acid deepness. In practice, that means a moody, child-alarming fusion of brain-melting acid tweakery, atmospheric groovery and Afro percussion. It's like some kind of weird hallucinogenic trip, which should make it perfect for early morning spins.
