Review: Both Keith Fullerton Whitman and Floris Vanhoof are pretty open-minded when it comes to musical composition. Here the pair team up for a five track EP which really emphasise their respective singularities as electronic engineers, with the former's work spanning many genres and styles and the latter occasionally delving in literature, visual art and instrument construction! Whitman opens the first four tracks, all sharing a common ideal throughout, starting with the clanging pops and reverberated melodies of "Automatic Ping", moving towards the gliding synths of "Automatic Melody", followed by his darkest moment yet on "Automatic Drums" and culminating in the more powerful "Automatic Drums with Melody". Finally, Vanhoof makes his appearance on "De Karekiet Van Karakas", where we're thrown head-first into a bizarre but wonderful stratosphere of alien sounds and melodic tweaks.
