Review: There's something to satisfy deep house lovers of various persuasions on this four-track sampler from Australian label Beats Of No Nation. With its mournful keys, aquatic sounds and birdsong, Wayward's 'ThirtyThree' harks back to Italian dream house of the early 90s, while Sevader's disco-houser 'WYGD' goes for the jugular with a full-phat bassline and glorious chorus'd vox. Metropolitan Soul Museum's 'Supervoid' is synth-y and prog-tinged, while finally Adonidia's 'Don't You Feel It Like We Used To' is a jazzy, midtempo near-instrumental that nods to broken beat. As long as the ideas are this good, let's hope Beats Of No Nation keep 'em coming.
