Full Circle EP
Crystal Clear & Codebreaker - "Puppet Man" - (4:29) 174 BPM
Full House - (4:34) 174 BPM
Woke - (4:16) 174 BPM Hot
Slow Hand - (4:33) 174 BPM
Review: Previously spotted damaging the dance on labels like Frontline, Ram, Sonix and Liqweed Ganja during the 2000s, Crystal Clear has returned in recent times via DLR's Sofa Sound. First on last year's Sofa King Sick collection and now with his first full EP since around 2013. Making up for lost time, he goes in on every direction; 'Woke' is a big stand out cut as it warns us of the dangers of the Tories and the toilet paper news rag that is The Sun. Elsewhere the legendary likes of Codebreaker delivers on 'Puppet Man', 'Full House' brings some seriously dark swagger to the mix while 'Slow Hand' brings the EP to a groaning close. Full vibes.

Review: Have a word son! DLR's 'Sofa King Sick' series continues with another breath-taking collection of thumpers, bumpers and grumpers from an outstanding roll-call of talents. 14 cuts in total, highlights include the creepy tension of Industry's 'Chronic', Sweetpea's classic stepper 'Munka', the real stinky, swampy funk on DLR & Script's 'A Different Style', the stripped back drama and growling subtleties of Kyrist's 'Underfall' and the outstanding tear-up from Trex & Freddy B - 'Go Mad'. Fitting title for such a powerful display of leftfield D&B funk. Sick indeed.

Review: It's always a joy when a new Under The Influence compilation arrives from Z Records HQ. Even better when it's curated by none other than Sean P, the veteran disco/boogie producer pal of Joey Negro. Sean's diggin' skills are so legendary he even had his own section in the Music & Video Exchange and here he puts these skills to use, rustling up 27 dance obscurities. Highlights include the lo-fi UK funk jam "Bye Bye Baby" by Joanne Ellis, the dubbed-out punky bass mantra "Trinidad Rock" by King David and the percussion frenzy of Jimmy Spencer's mad cover of "Summertime".
