Review: The latest missive on the long-serving Tribe Records imprint comes from boss man Dean Zepherin under the now familiar Zepherin Saint alias. He's joined in the studio by a high profile collaborator: American songwriter and neo-soul chanteuse Miranda Nicole. Nicole's sumptuous, emotion-rich vocals naturally come to the fore on the opening Tribe Vocal Mix of "Butterflies", a deliciously humid summer breeze of a soulful house workout rich in bouncy polyrhythms and sublime instrumentation. The latter element gets celebrated further on the warm and seductive "Live Mix" - all lilting brass, meandering synth solos, twinkling electric piano and yearning vocals - while the closing "Tribestrumental" is every bit of luscious, languid and percussively punchy as Zepherin's earlier vocal version.
