Review: Deekline enlists the skills of Feyder and Steppa Style for two monstrous skank-wise reggae bubblers; The Spruddy One-featured "Overcome" and the Ragga Twins-fronted "Sound Burial". The former flexes with a rapid Eek-A-Mouse-style vocals while the latter rips with the hype you'd expect from Deman Rockers and Flinty Badman. Version-wise we're also treated to reggae, dancehall and instrumental versions, each one adding serious roots authenticity.

Review: Long-standing collaborators Binga and Shafique continue to go pound for pound on this bulbous nine-track EP. Eight originals and one stone cold Perez remix, this one's a danger session as a vibrant, dancehall thrust sizzles throughout. Highlights include the dreamy chorus on "Check Di New", the Carpenter style motifs on "Pot Ah Bubble", the squid bass and textured twist on Rider's smoky vox on "Rootsman Tonic" and the incredible surge of emotion on "Chinchilla" thanks to its beautiful rising chords on the finale. And that's before we even get to Alix's deep space twister take on "Highly Blessed". Nothing short of essential.

Review: Navi and Junior Dangerous on the same jam? This spells trouble in best body-bumping way possible. Versions galore, we kick off with the digidub dancehall swagger of the original before a crack squad of players all sign up to the bang gang... Label boss Deekline goes all tear-out with a bassline that's not dissimilar D*Minds around 10 years ago, Potential Bad Boy flips it into a purring subby jungle roller while Aries reminds us of his bashy side with a proper tropical shakedown. Finally we body bang all the way to New York state for a springy sci-fi skanker from Liondub and Jah Boogs. Banging.

Review: Rewind Selecta! Bristol's J-Man goes back over his "Cease & Sekkle" EP from last spring and enlists a whole crew of killer remixers ranging from exciting newcomer to some of the most consistent OGs. Audiomission make a strong impression with their full flavoured take on "Party Hard", Lost City turn the carnival vibes up to 100 on "Cease & Sekkle" while both Origin One and Aries provide fire blend versions of "Coconut Chalwah"; the former gets his digidub wriggle on, the latter gets out his sharped amen cutlass chops. With plenty more, including a tightly coiled stepper twist from Marcus Visionary, it's another one click headshot from the Born On Road crew.

Review: In case you've been burying your head in the cemetery, unknown Manchester troupe Think Tonk have been fusing some slick dark dancehall-influenced jungle on V since late 2015. Now on their third release, the vibes are as well-kept as the mysterious on who they are (they're too good to be new, trust us) "Setman" is a hybrid halftime piece with slow and low lyricism and ghetto tones while "Whatever You Go Do" brings Inja into the fold for a more full-flavoured vocal touch with far-away south east Asian elements that sits somewhere between grime, drum & bass and New Delhi. Magnificent...Once again.
