Review: The cover art makes reference to the children's classic story about a little girl chasing a white rabbit, and there's certainly a sense of the surreal about this release. "Scope" is a pulsing underground house groove, its grungy bassline and muffled but insistent bassline making for the perfect accompaniment for those 'lost it' moments on the dance floor. "Evil" is another malevolent track, but this time, grainy riffs and jagged percussive licks that accompany the tub thumping, rolling drums. "Feelings" features a rolling, tribal groove and is more laid back than the first two tracks as a funk guitar sample and sensuous disco strings prevail. "Delight" is cut from a similar cloth, and its sax stabs and deep chords underpin an infectious 'hey hey' vocal sample.

Review: Oliver Koletzki's minimal label pushes the contemporary club sounds that fit right in with the current status quo. Moonwalk and Rafael Cerato's "Phenomena" is a dark, melodic, journey track that would make Tale Of Us or Mind Against stand up and notice. Boy Next Door's killer peak time anthem "Lovely L" features a massive and razor sharp bassline supporting equally fierce elements for dance floor mayhem. Also of honourable mention are Berlin legends Channel X with the wonky and downright epic killer "Supernova" which will no doubt rock the house and KlangKuenstler's dark, rusty and downright bangin' "Drunk In Chicago".

Review: A complete Jekyll & Hyde track rips the lid off this release, picking out meaty dancehall vibes before dissolving into big, mushy bass. "Mad Over We" from Channel 2 mixes up high energy beats with that same vintage sample from Super Cat, probably most famously heard on Nas' "The Don". Both take very different cues from the same inspiration makes for an interesting diversity between the two, showing just what D&B can do with a little creativity behind it. Whether it's tearing up dancefloors or providing some all-too-necessary depth and power, this release has both.

Review: Fresh from serving up the scintillating Trasnformations EP on Underthesea, Brooklyn-based X-Coast (AKA Serbia-born producer Bojan Cizmic) makes his bow on Lost Palms. This time round, he's joined on writing and production duties by Tristan Hallis, better known as DJ Boring. Musically, the EP is as jaunty, fired-up and fizzing as you'd expect, with both "Todos Los Latinos" and the more anthem-like "Yucatan Channel" sounding like a fusion of Sound Factory era Junior Vasquez productions and saucer-eyed early '90s Italian piano house. Those looking for more tactile, head-in-the-clouds thrills should check the ambient house era sunrise revivalism of "Velvet Rope". Hallis dons the DJ Boring alias to remix the latter track, in the process turning in a slightly tougher but even more loved-up interpretation.
