Review: Given that he founded the label two years ago this month, it's something of a surprise to find that Heart Breaker is Danny '80s Child' Worrall's first release on Masterworks Music. As usual, the five re-edits on offer mine the producer's vast collection of '80s electro, P-funk and synth-soul for inspiration. Opener "Dancing Real Close 2 U" is a subtly beefed-up rearrangement of a P-funk/'80s soul fusion, while "The Next Step" is a Tiger & Woods style electrofunk-goes-house loop jam. He changes the formula a little on the organic disco cheeriness of "Love Is U", before reaching for the hairspray on the Jam & Lewis-on-steroids vibe of "Closer 2 Your Luv".

Review: Originally released in 1995, 'Your Love' is not one of the most celebrated releases from Kevin Saunderson's Inner City project. That said, it remains a slept-on classic - or at least one that's ripe for reviving. This reissue from Network's Six x Six offshoot serves up all of the classic mixes from that period. Check first the 'Serial Diva Paris is Burning' club mix, an organ and piano-driven slab of muscular mid-90 US house, before checking the driving and trippy 'Serial Diva Paris is Burning Dub'. The Neal Howard mix is a bouncier and breezier slab of organ-rich house, Mike Hitman Wilson's 'Original House Mix' is a fine fusion of familiar Chicago, Detroit and New Jersey elements, and Saunderson's own Clubbed UK dub is a subtly tech-tinged Motor City house roller.
