Review: The Lost City Archives team have pulled together a real winner for their 10th edition of the 'Lost City Archives' series, welcoming Ash Brown with three sumptuous subby bubblers. First up, the eerie reverberations and clustered drum stutters of 'Cantankerous' weave themselves into play, focussing heavily on skittish sub sweeps and delicate percussion to match. Next, 'Star Gazing' brings us an ethereal soundscape of icey synthetics and heavily affected vocal processing, before 'Speciality' thickens the mix a bit with more traditional 2-stepping rhythms and harder hitting drum pumps to match.

Review: Next up from eatmybeat, a vibrant collection of percussive-driven rollers from the one and only D-Nite, showcasing his crazy ability with some top level production skills. We open up with 'Ominous Arrival', a fluctuating combination of high energy rhythms and subtle vocal samples, followed by both the industrial synth thumps of 'Sine DNA' and arpeggio-lead soundscaping of 'Circular' to follow. From here we then move into the highly unique title track 'Ai Amor', a glorious roll through samba-style drum patterns and catchy vocal slices, followed by the bleeping synth sweeps of 'Amargo' to close off. Awesome work!

Review: Over the last 5 years, it has been an absolute pleasure watching the ascension of Scuffed Recordings, becoming an imprint of cult classic status due to their consistent and unbreaking dedication to sonic innovation. This time around, they welcome the enigmatic production talents of Krotone, who opens up with a broken-beat epic in 'Watch', sampling moody patois vocal samples and utilising crusty drum arrangements for a super crunchy original. Next, '16 Deck' allows us to explore subtle LFO sweeps and more reverberated rhythms, before 'Original' gives us a tightened outro to round off this collection with a tidy landing.
