Review: The Disco Express presents a four-track remix collection in which Art Of Tones reshape Pete Maxey's 'Right On' from last year's 'Tough Love' V/A EP, George Cynnamon takes on 'Satin Lovers' from Tuesday Brunch's 'London To Sydney' EP and Phonk D and Parisian Soul rework a cut each from July's 'Iridesence' EP. The sheer quality of Vanessa Jackson's jazzy female vocal on 'Blue Diamond' ensures it takes the gold once more, but Phonk D's strutty, bass-y take on 'Sugar Rush' is also very deserving of your attention, particularly if you have a soft spot for mid-90s disco-house.

Review: Buoyed by a recent outing on Disco Express, Tuesday Brunch returns to theBasementDiscos for the first time in 13 months. In keeping with their energetic, peak-time ready sound, the four tracks that make up Internationals combine sweeping, life-affirming disco samples with chunky, bass-heavy house grooves. This party-starting approach is arguably best exemplified by opener 'Behind the Scenes', where jaunty horns and sweeping strings dance atop a bustling, celebratory groove, and the heady hedonism of 'Feels So Good', where they rework and pitch-up a genuinely classic disco cut. Elsewhere, 'Nothing Else Matters' makes great use of sparkling synth sounds and soulful vocals from a mid-to-late '80s gem and 'Playboy' is a warming fusion of deep house and disco-house that should find favour with plenty of DJs.

Review: Sydney duo Tuesday Brunch serve up four tracks that'll appeal to those who like their disco on the smooth, jazzy n' soulful side. 'Satin Lovers' flirts with both jazz-funk and mellow 70s west coast sounds but 'SOS', which follows, has more of an early 80s boogie feel. We then stay in boogie territory for the really quite pace-y 'Londres Au Paris' with its distinctive "this is your time" chanted chorus, before the EP's completed by the more overtly disco-house vibes of 'Double Dare Ya', a defiantly summery, sunny affair with some killer stabs and liberal use of the filters.
