Review: A dirty screwed-up anthem from Flux Pavilion who delivers a real gem with "Got To Know". Produced with stunning precision, this half-stepping monster rides a clever descending chord sequence that gets fleshed out with tons of bitcrushed bass. With a female vocal that drops on every 32 bars, it's utterly relentless. "Normalize" is more pacey - switching up tempos at the drop of a hat while the buzzing synths flit between octaves. Proof that Flux Pavilion just keeps getting sharper and sharper, this is not to be missed for bassheads everywhere.

Review: Along with his more D&B-slanted aliases Slum Dogz and Picto, Shaun "Doctor P" Brockhurst has become a dubstep icon, thanks to releases on Circus (co-founded with Flux Pavillion and Swan-E). Here, he reaches for that old standard, the Tetris theme, and wreaks absolute havoc with it. Dropping from the straight chiptune rendering of the original into a fierce metallic beat 'n' wobble riff, he arranges it sweetly, toying with the tune in short bursts amongst the carnage of the amped-up snares and bass noise. Expect this to get dropped simply everywhere very very soon.

Review: The follow up to ubiquitous, much referenced, heavily remixed and frequently circulated anthem of 2010 "Sweet Shop", Circus owner Doctor P comes up with another future classic on his own imprint. Imagine piping Rusko-style synth warblings, whippet screeches, a sprinkling of High Rankin's eccentricity and vocals which are straight out of Fresh's Kryptonite "Chacruna", and that's "Big Boss". "Black Books" is less Bernard Black and more Manny gone mad, with a rave-referencing intro, bouncing beats, bleepy progressions and sense that something's about to explode. A sure fire hit on the dancefloor, no doubt.

Review: Braintree based solo artist Brown & Gammon lays claim to the Essex dubstep crown with this latest brace of bangers for the Circus label. Following on from last year's massive "Painkillers" which caused considerable damage, "Blow My Mind" continues the theme with stomping drums, squiggly synth hooks and a bouncy, house influenced mid-section setting this one apart from the pack. "Riddle Me This" mashes up anthemic pads with Prodigy style cut up vocal snippets over skippy beats with a reggae sensibility. One to watch.

Review: The Circus performer and compadre of Flux Pavilion and Doctor P steps up with an ear-crushing, stomach-flipping four track EP of epic proportions. Expect smashing mid-range mayhem, with screeching synths and wobbly basslines in abundance. The title track has a cartoon-like feel, with the growling vocal screaming "me want cookie" over vertiginous bass wobbles. "Frontline" juxtaposes "Sweetshop" style screams over throbbing, taught synths reminiscent of Noisia's "Stigma" before "You Can Do It" takes over, with its aggressive punch and kick tactics. Final track "R0807 D06" draws it all together with a series of robotic shudders, percussive hisses and ear-splitting rumbles.

Review: Roksonix steps up with a couple of bangers on Doctor P's ever expanding Circus Records; the enticing lyrical "Music In Me" is all reverberating vocal, clinking piano keys and building anticipation, dropping into a synth screeching tear out tune of enormous proportion, with grumbling bass and riled up rhythms, and growling roars, which bear resemblance to label owner Doctor P and the rest of the Circus roster. "Madness" is another mash up of computerized bleeping melodies, accelerating bass, distorted SFX and thumping drum kicks, which should have the UKF contingent foaming at the mouth. Coming to a dubstep rave near you soon!

Review: Classic Cookie Monsta silliness; he knows how to truly nurture a hype hook. And on this occasion he's done it with a LOL-worthy jab at our mothers. With the tongue-in-cheek remark about our mums delivered, the high-end bass mischief that follows is one of his most hectic and fun-fuelled hooks to date. Proving he's not a one trick pony, "Cave Of Filth" goes on a deep dungeon flex with heaps of texture and well-reigned drama. Epic stuff.

Review: Quite who Mr Mongoose is, we haven't the foggiest. But do we care? Not in the slightest. We haven't got time to care! Not while we're chowing down on the five mighty genre-smashing bangers that soundtrack his fantastic weekend. While all cuts are pretty darned shiny, the jewel in the crown has to be Dillon Francis and Doctor P's "Music Is Dead". A slow, sludgy, downtempo electro bass work out, it's like they've eaten all of Daft Punk's albums, drunk several bottles of strong spirits and battered their computers on each other's heads until they're happy with the outcome. Or something. Another highlight, that rolls with similar, slow-mo funkery, is Figure's "What More Do You Need?", a spitting, snarling, growling beast, it's proof tempos don't need to be a hundred miles an hour for things to truly bang.

Review: Funtcase does Circus boss Doctor P proud with his exuberant, ear-pounding Doomed EP which is as every bit as brash and as boisterous as you would expect from this camp. "Dem Mans" twists up a grime sensibility and tortures it with mid range distortions and synth manipulations a-plenty for a dramatic intro. Next he teams up with Genetix for the title track - an apocalyptic track with bellowing beats and twisted up sounds taken to the extreme. "IN! (feat. Persist)" is classic wobbly Doctor P style dubstep at its best, whilst "Invaderz" brings in the skills of Bristol-based Jakes for more mayhem.

Review: Eight tracks strong with appearances from the likes of Foreign Beggars and this is still technically an EP? We are officially being spoiled here by Funty! Highlights include MiK's lyrical fire and Funt's mad sonic switch ups on the title track, the dramatic high-end operatics on "Angry Claws" and the industrial strength halfstep savagery on "Particle". Review: Now we truly have stumbled onto a gem of a project with this one as legendary Circus Records founder Flux Pavillion returns with a full-length album project, as always, exploring the more colourful side of electronic dance music. Standing at an incredible sixteen tracks, the project is a spectacular showcase into the full range of Flux's musical ability, from the euphoric arrangements of 'I Believe' alongside Asha and 'You & I' alongside Kata Kozma, to the more experimental side of future-funk on 20:25, featuring some fabulous work from The Chain Gang Of 1974. It forms a truly outstanding listen from start to finish, with some favourites including the big room singalong flavours of 'I Will Stay' alongside Turin Breaks, the crunchy percussion of 'Twitterbird' and highly appealing vocal captures of 'Lions Cage', featuring the magnificent Nevve.

Review: Nottingham's Cookie Monsta isn't exactly partial to a bit of good, old-fashioned wobbling', and this latest four-tracker sees the artist doing what he likes best, and thereby not worrying too much about what is the newest and trendiest form of dubstep. From "Ruff" to Soundboy, these four cold-blooded bass stabbers are made for you to nod aggressively to, and if there was still such as thing as FWD @ Plastic People, you know Coki would be dropping exactly this sort of material. True-school dubstep bruisers.

Review: It's exactly a year since Roksonix last appeared on Circus with the hair-tearingly boisterous "Music In Me". It's clear the duo haven't lost the touch, as "Get Live" is equally as frantic. After a teasing intro the main drop is one of Technicolour thunder with screaming highs and deep grizzly lows. A fine balance of melody and party fire, this may well score you a rewind or two. Meanwhile "Girlz" sees them sign up the inimitable mic styles of Spyda for a even ruder romp with added skank and sing-along lyrics that give well deserved credit to the fairer sex. Monstrous.

Review: Indian producer now living in London, Kaos signs to Circus and make his debut with this awesome four-track fire blend. We launch with the UKF-supported "Indigo"; a very cool glitch track with a killer 'bottom heavy' vocal sample, big rainbow chords and a cheeky off-beat bass. "Bitchcraft" takes us down the beat-route with emotional post-future-garage vocals and stunning spacious two-steps. "Follow Me" showcases Kaos's trappist inclinations with another expert use of a vocal placed demonically over a minimal 808 pattern. "Come Alive" closes the show with a dubstep/trap/house fusion that's gurgling enough to please the bass heads but sweet enough to satisfy the deep heads. A very accomplished label debut.

Review: Curated in celebration of this year's Miami attack, Flux and P deliver a multi-direction four-track attack that showcases just how pies the label has its grubby fingers in. The boss's shake-up of "Bada Bing" is the epitome of the label's past and future as metallic, ready-shreddy electro fuses with swaggering dubstep halfsteps. Cookie Monsta's take on "The Sound Of Science" is equally retro-future with its potty mouthed sonics shattering all windows in a five mile radius. Review: Furiously and energetically different, this collection of Circus clan remixes gets heads spinning from the very start with a ramped-up Fei Feias take on Roksonix' "Dogfight". The energy doesn't let up, with crazed influences ranging from neuro, dubstep and 8-bit, with swing tempo change-ups just in case things were getting a little too standard. Mashed, mangled and fully devoted to the unhinged side of life, Circus' artists never stray too near the edges of reality. With blinding tunes from Cookie Monsta remixed by Northern Lights, Brown & Gammon, FuntCase and Mizuki, if you get through this LP without either starting an apocalyptic-level party or checking yourself into rehab, you deserve a medal of some sort.
