Review: As a fantastic way to close out the year, we see the Future Follower's team linking up for an end of year disco, welcoming 20 tracks onto the label via their brand new 'Decade' compilation series. Through a vibrant combination of genres and styles, we see the likes of Digital Pilgrimz, RDubz, Sirmo, Shiva, Sketia and more all getting involved, sweeping from raucous dubstep designs to more dancefloor driven bassline bangers. It's a very vibrant collection and is a fantastic way for the label to celebrate a decade of activity, with our favourite features including the electrifying synthesiser work of Reigamortis' 'Hondo', next to the creepy soundscapes and blippy delays of 'Abyss Stare' from Kyoshe', with the unique, funk infused layouts of MAW's 'Jazztalk' also turning a few heads. Exceptional stuff!

Review: As far as labels go, there aren't many who have been floating around the bass music scene for as long as Future Follower Records. It seems that they have a point to prove here as they unveil an absolute goliath of a project, featuring fifty stunning original creations, packing a perfectly processed punch to round out 2019. The project as a whole finds itself landing between bass, breaks and garage, with some incredibly catchy productions involved, including Dephex's warbling 'Warfare', the super metallic shuffles inside the Bean VIP mix of 9TRANE's 'Heard Me' and the bass blasts of DubReaper's 'Ask Me'. There is something for everyone on this massive selection, giving the Future Follower camp a perfect send off to 2019.

Review: As a label project, we are massive fans of the Future Follower imprint, who have consistently supplied the 140 genre expanse with heat, this time bringing out Digital Pilgrimz for a four track selection. We begin with 'Time After Time' which treds the line between dubstep and garage structurally, packed with a punchy set of subs riding away below. Next, we dip into the tropical arrangements and mcatchy grooves of 'Use Your Heart', before skipping into the broken garage designs of 'For The Mind', which packs a real potent bag of rhythms. We finish up with 'You Lift Me Higher', which brings yet more garage energy to the table, filling our cups to the full.

Review: With this one the Future Follower imprint has pulled together a fantastic selection of beautiful originals from Nekst to form the 'Origin' EP. We kick off with the stunning aquatic UKG soundscaping of 'Digital Fortress' before dipping into the more UK bass inspired gritty synthesis of 'House Bass'. The reesey theme continues as we roll into the skippy sounds of the title track 'Origin'. We then finish up heading down a darkened road as the growling bassweight of 'Body' descends with it's sharp clap heavy 4x4 drum patterns.

Review: Garage, bass, and dubstep specialists Future Follower come rolling through the speakers with a newcomer by the name of Bambooloo and, honestly, we think this dude merits a standing ovation form the get-go! "Escape" is a masterfully constructed bass attack, well-balanced in shape and percussion, while also having the time to unleash some pretty noxious ow frequencies from its core. "Entity" is similarly suave and shape-shifting, banging its liquid-like drums left, right , and centre, along with some much needed jungle breakin'. It's the world of BAMBOOLOO - get involved!

Review: Digital Pilgrimz level up to LP mode with their debut long'un One Hundred. If you've followed their previous releases on Future Follower and the likes of Ultra Bass you'll already know the drill; pristine UKG, breaks and D&B with precision measures of soul, savagery and depth. All floor-primed and glowing with unabashed broken funk, highlights include the tubular harmonics and jazzy organs on "Stronger", the gully-crunched skipper "Calling All Dancers" and the jungle cavalcade romp "Mercy Tings". Loaded with rubs from Strong4Life, Dephex, Shiva and Godlike for good measure, this is an all-out bounty in every direction. A very accomplished debut album.

Review: In the middle of 2016 Future Follower gave us a small taste of Ivo in the form of a single entitled 'Chopablock'. Eight months later the crew are pleased to deliver this artist's first full length EP. Flat 32 is a four track release that speaks for itself: through the speakers! Starting off with the deep pulsations of "Karma", "Omin" get its womp and wobble on good and proper with this nefarious street sound expression. Finally "Mitsubishi" builds the tension and suspense effectively through its dystopian atmosphere, but the beats on this cut right through that dense mood lighting: like a knife!

Review: It's no secret that Bristol's Dephex likes his tunes dark and his Somerset pal Gribzy ain't much far behind with that either. Now they've hooked up for the epic monster EP, Get On Your Feet. First up is the title track, a collaboration no less, that sees the two production talents create a sinister shuffle, with dark alleyway bass gurgles and scattershot beats. Elsewhere Dephex delivers the gnawing low-end pulsator, "No Swing" and Gribzy supplies the haunted RnB synth jam "Run For Cover". Finally Digital Pilgrimz deliver a totally lit warped garage rework of the latter. Dope.

Review: Badman-bassman Jubley is back on Future Follower with four addictive dance floor swelters that'll knock your head back upon first impact, and spin you out good and proper. "Cooperation" is a militant weapon, indeed, a fold of mutant bass that swims up and down a minimal half-step rhythm, while "Addict" is more involved in its groove, a more stuttering bass affair. "Frostbite" reminds us of Hessle Audio's output, especially Bandshell, because of its broken, distorted arrangement and minimal sonic involvement; Dephex's remix of "Cooperation" adds a significant dose of kicks to an already hard-hitting bass number. BIG.
