Review: For those who've already fallen in love with Tevo Howard's distinctive take on Chicago jack, Pandora's Box will no doubt be an essential purchase. In truth, it's an accurate title, with the Chicagoan DJ exploring a variety of his favourite themes over the course of an entertaining hour of dancefloor-centric cuts. Amongst the eight tracks you'll find Italo-influenced electronic house ("Pandora's Box"), synthpop-goes jack (the Underground Mix of "Spend Some Time"), addictive acid ("The Instruction"), smart melodic deepness ("Autumn Spell", "Intersection"), old skool electro-house ("Confusion") and even straightforward Chicago pop (the Pop Mix of "Spend Some Time"). Pure class from start to finish.

Review: Everyone's favourite Welsh label are back in the game after a short time away and they've returned with what may be their best release yet. It's courtesty of Hexa and it manages to be both driven in its focus and diverse; led by minimal sounds yet not falling prey to easy trap of repetitive minimalism. 'What She Doesn't Know' is absolute genius, with a snapping percussive line that grounds a stabbing, funky, bassline that's genuinely unlike anything we've heard in a very long time. You have to hear it, really, and it's followed up by the gully roller that is 'Pandora's Box', a Gerra & Stone-esque concoction that has us wishing clubs were open. It moves onto the bubbling chill of 'Flashlight', before finishing on the deep, rolling notes of 'There's No Time', an incredibly cool four-track run that we can't recommend enough.

High in all the best intoxicating ways, flavours range from the all-out fire and venom of Ikon B's 'Turning Into Monsters' to Bill & Ed's mischievous jazzy tear-up 'Know What I Need' via DJ Direkt's early 2000s-style bubbly bass swagger on 'Boss' and the low slung, Sofa Sound style grunts and flicks of Pandora's 'About Tonight.' Review: A collection of the German duo's collaborations stretching back to the middle of the last decade, Luna shows that good ideas and original production never age. Although this release features a long list of high-profile remixers - our favourites include Moritz Van Oswald's dubby, understated take on "Phobos" and Roman Flugel's spiky house version of "The Phoenix" - the duo's own productions are the real highlights. Both "Luna" and "Atlas" are underpinned by mid-tempo, unfussy rhythms and pulsing basslines, with the latter unfolding to reveal a spine-tingling melody. "Callisto" is an evocative ambient piece reminiscent of classic Eye Q and the epic synths on "Hydra" relive that distinctive central European sense of melancholia that Kraftwerk pioneered.
