Label staple Agro serves up several collaborations on here with the likes of Mentah, Raz, Diligent Fingers and Ghxsty. There's also a few offerings by the ever reliable Yatuza; our pick being the wonky stepper of "Distance" with Master Error. Elsewhere, Pyro pops up a few times throughout and was in fine form on "Smithdown Bass" and Prestige handed in a couple of quality dubs with neurofunk cut "Logical" being our pick of the bunch.

Review: Don't believe the fairy tale; Goldilocks didn't have a kip on baby bear's bed because she was full of porridge or tired after her walk through the woods. No. She had a nap there because she's had three beers...And this is the soundtrack to the dreams she had. Bendy bass moans, glacial pads and a general sense of unease (probably because she's half-cut and sleeping on some random kids bed in a house she's trespassing in) combine to create the dark funk we've come to expect from Damage Report. For the soundtrack to Goldilocks running away check 'Bounce Itch' as it catches the same energy as someone running for their life through the woods. Drinking's bad for you.

Review: Everyone likes a good compilation, right? What's better than having as big a range of artists as possible in one condensed place? It's essentially an album with the ease of listening of a single, so we're all for it. Subliminal have come out with the 2020 edition in their Riddim Return series and it's packed full of bangers, across a range of styles, and it's one of those albums which doesn't try to be cool or sophisticated by chucking in a few fillers for the sake of diversity - it's just hard stuff here. It works great, with Sam Harris' tendency for muscular minimosity coming on loud and clear on Boom Ting, a wickedly devilish and driving roller.

Review: Grid Recordings are sick little label that we regularly cover here because their releases are so consistently good, so consistently naughty and just so consistently consistent. Damage Report is a regular appearance on their release catalogue and he's back with the Neck Noose EP, a five-tracker of bubbling, jump-up influenced wizardry. There are plenty of rolling bangers here, but 'Piranha' is the tune that really caught our attention. With a creative, almost-halftime drum pattern and snarling bass flicks, it combines novelty with time-proven strategies of dancefloor damage.

Review: Grid Recordings are a regular here on Juno and for good reason, their proclivity for steadily releasing rough but energetic, whole-hearted cuts is strong and their small size doesn't prevent the release of top-quality music. The title track is the strongest on the release, with a Dispatch-esque feel to its cracking percussion and a torn, broken back end that rips across the range with style. The other 3 cuts go down a more jump-up route and, if you like Grid, this is the release for you.

Review: This is a big release, both literally and metaphorically. Sitting at 58 tracks, it's clear that the Dub Damage crew wanted to pack as many of their best moments as they possible could into the album. If you're a jump-up fan, think of this as a bit like the holy grail of jump-up and the inclusion of remixes and originals from dons like Original Sin, Annix, Turno and Sub Zero cement that fact. Aside from those legends, DJ Alpha comes through with 'The Man With The Golden Gun', a riotous blend of punched out bass synths, whilst Kre & Basshoven low-key steal the show with 'Toronto Blue'. A fat album this, and a lesson in how to do compilations right.

Review: After the undeniable popularity of the first edition of Murky Digital's 'Turbid Transcendence' compilation, we were stoked to see that a second part was hitting the stores, and what a selection it is. We hear a range of rollers and minimal drums from start to finish, including Bass Antics and Nino's sub heavy 'DAT TUNE' and the high calibre creeping collaboration 'What Do You Know' between Filthy Antics and Jeopardize. For us the additional highlights have to be the explosive percussive rolls and grinding subs of Euphonique's 'Damage', along with the crispy drum processing of Tarz's 'Late Night' and Fena's volcanic 'The Lizard King' arrangement, complete with lethal bass growls and flavourful drum combos.

Review: Damage Report returns to Twisted's recently revived Grid imprint with another absolute shredder-fest. Six-tracks deep, it's mean, it's raffish, it's toxic, it's rolling, it's hooky; ain't nobody messing around right here. "Frankenstein" is every bit as freaky as its title suggests, "Don't Offend Me" ignites with an almost trancey feel before dropping into a late 90s Bristol steppy sound, "Banana Tree" is a bongo-busting rattler that purrs with subby goodness, "It's Alive" is a stripped back spook-fest that wouldn't go amiss in a Serum set while "Rope Swing" leaps through the jungle with a truly chest-beating bassline and "Message Of Doom" signs out the EP with the deadly intention it deserves. Damage Report has been smashing it for several years now. This is the sound of him levelling up once again.

Review: It really isn't a mystery why Taxman is held in such esteem by peers and punters alike. He's got this signature sound of grottiness which still feels musical, a trait which can sometimes get lost in today's noisy jump up scene. Let's be honest the original tune is a banger! Review: Usually when man hits road with a VIP it goes harder, right? Not in the case of this fugly roller from a true king among junglists T>I. Here he's taken the heavily supported and highly distinctive bassline of last year's banger "The Gorgon" and pressurised it into a much more physical sub bass sensation to subtle heads-down effect. The same can be said for his take on Damage Report's "Snooper" as he switches out the in-you-face weirdness of the OG bassline and teases us with the texture over a much more dense sub twist. Basically the bigger the systems you play this on, the better they sound.

Review: Tyke's Holographic Audio sparks up a big fat 2017 with a hefty seven-piece from the currently unfailing Damage Report. Every release of his last year was a blinder and we're looking just as destructive this year... Review: Hello is that the police? We'd like to report a murder. Damage Report is killing it right now. Another naughty bullet in a chamber that's already fired off five release shots this year, "Polluted Shadows" continues his rich run of undiluted bass beef form. Highlights on this collection include the box-of-bees bass fuzz of "All That", the snake-like subby funk of the title track and the weirded out twists and grizzles of "Alone". There is no doubt he'll kill again soon.

Review: Some days even the most optimistic junglist can feel the bassline game is over and every possible combination has been deduced. Then along comes Damage Report with "Tonight" where one of the oddest, off-beat, smile-inducing basses you'll hear all season awaits. Truly unique and great fun on the floor. Deeper in his bass game doesn't let up: "Head Cold" is fuelled by that angry sandpaper style riff that sounds like an enraged hornet's nest, "The Door Test" is all about the big bellowing subs while "Wasteman" doffs its cap to Annix's halftime hurter "Work For Nothing" with added skips back to classical double time. Chaos guaranteed.

Review: Remix klaxon: Damage Report takes Ironlung's summer 2015 blunderbuss "Barbaric" and adds a whole new level of drum funk. Maintaining the original spiky riff but injecting a strong swing to the beats, it's a great update on a still-strong banger. For the second reversion Lungy coughs up the goods himself with a VIP twist on "Accelerate" where the riff extends throughout the entire bar. For floors who know the original this will blow minds. Subtly savage.

Review: Cool Runnings since 2009, Shrust's PDD imprint continues to deliver the turbo-charged goods. The first in the German label's inaugural "This Is Jump Up" series, the titles and players it comprises says it all: Heist ignites the brutal bass bonfire with a classic early zeroes sound (think Twisted Individual for the modern day dance), he's followed by a slew of label regulars, each one vying for first place in the sharpest gunfinger world series: Zodiac goes all croaky bass, Tron dusts off the horror movie collection, Steampunk gets super-twisted with down pitched paranoid tones while Damage Report strip back the science for something more classical and lean. Last but not least Mq brings back the skank factor. Walloping.

Review: Blackley's CRE8DNB community continues to develop at pace with their second sensory-assaulting collective EP. Dub Berzerka opens with hammer horror strings before Ironlung updates his battle bash parade with grizzly one-note bass hits on "Killer". CRE8 founder Blackley joins the fray with a swinging, mischievous funk-up "Roll It Out" and Damage Report get straight up silly with the rising detuned bass spirals of "Make U Famous". Jaxx and Sidejobz bring up the rear; the former getting creative with spoken word samples and an AK47 bassline, the latter gets all kung-fu with black belt bassline skills. Brutal.

Review: Bringing people together through the power of good drum and bass isn't alien to these guys - Gun Audio run City Flow Festival back home in Antwerp, offering one of the biggest platforms for hard hitting jump-up sounds in Western Europe. Their Reload EP series has so far seen the rise of too many new artists to count and it's these massive compilations that the people want to hear. They bring City Flow together and they show off what's yet to come for the next year. Soul Intent, T>I and Supreme Being all make appearances, but it's the surprising new upstarts you want to listen out for. Expect very big things.

Review: DJ Grimeminister's Digital 101 Recording returns with a full length by Damage Report, previously releasing on Liondub International. First up "Simple" is grime at drum and bass tempo to rather interesting effect. "Know How We Do" however sticks to the formula with its stabbing bassline that morphs into nasty sub bass complete with tight beats. "One More Thing" sounds like a Dilinja jam; enough said! "Nothing Happens" sets the scene with its murderous film samples on this truly evil one. "Out In The Streets" is the real highlight here as its meticulous breakbeat riding a rollin' bassline, complete with female vocal samples. Finally "Impulse VIP" is a simple yet effective stepper reminiscent of the classic "Warhead" by DJ Krust.

Review: Damage Report steps up to the Liondub International label with his biggest release yet. This five-track EP offers a variety of sounds to fill a range of moods to suit the drum and bass dancefloor. For something deep, rolling and slightly off-kilter there's "Got Something" and staying on a mellow tip there's also the title-track "Substance". For bigger beats check out "Move N Sway" and "Nothing As Bad", while "Crack It" is a nasty digi-banger.

Review: Judging from the reception this UK producer has been getting from Hype and Pascal, it's only a matter of time before he blows up into the big time - so listen up. Packing the biggest of punches through the use of huge drops and bonesaw bass, the Time I Did EP manages to be a collection of highly accomplished, tightly produced dancefloor detonation devices, with each track coming from a different place in the D&B psyche. From heavy-handed and wild to technical and troubled at the flick of a switch, if you've not heard of this guy yet, prepare to hear your new favourite producer take flight into the wide world.

Review: Want to hear something out of control? The ruffians from Hype's Playaz have come out to play for the seventh installment of the now legendary The Flavours series, and good gracious is it a scorcher. Featuring a tech-heavy stepper called "Very Exciting" (agreed) by newcomer Konichi to break you in, the second track is a deep, devastating roller courtesy of big man Philth with politically charged vox from P-Fine. The rest of the EP comes on strong with heavy-hitting tunes from Serum, the ever-gorgeous Chromatic and Nu Elements as well as some hugely promising newcomers. Do not sleep on this - you've been warned.

Review: High R8 have been putting out a reliable stream of D&B since 2011, but it's only now they've released a compilation, and if you were to acquaint yourself with the sound of the label it's here. Filthy Habits feature twice with their tracks "Robot Wars", a grizzly bassline driven burner, and the rolling caustic sounds of "Pitch Black". Other highlights include Total Recall's climbing "Zelator", Cino's "Relocate", Spaow's heavily effected and twisted "Hard Work" and Version's deep and cruising "Weak Sauce". Get stuck in.
