Bon Voyage - (6:40) 175 BPM
Review: The one and only Seba returns once again with new sparring partner Jr Vallo. Last spotted on Fokuz and soon-to-appear on Spearhead together, here we find them going toe-to-toe on Seba's ever-essential Secret Operations. "-15" is a first class ticket to the furthest corners of the cosmos on a bumpy rocket that's so barbed and dangerous you may find it's a one-way trip. Fittingly the second track is titled "Bon Voyage". Less drama and more introspection but loaded with similar sci-fi sentiments, listen and hear as a Good Looking universe unfolds before your very ears. Beautiful - as always from Secret Ops.

Cowabunga - (4:26) 175 BPM Hot
Equinox - (4:52) 174 BPM
Tyrant - (4:30) 174 BPM
Review: Starting the EP with ther hard hitting, bouncing dancefloor destroyer "Koodana", the melody and heavily mutated bass pleasingly echo each other, the track feels intense and captivating, the vocal is demanding us to 'jump' but we already are. 'Cowabunga' is a noisy, high pitched snap shot of exactly where jump up is today, the jabbing synths will smash the floors with no question. Our favourite track of the sampler has got to be 'Equinox', which showcases Levela's deeper side, using shinier, softer sounds which twinkle against the spiritual moans and the warm pulsating bassline. 'Tyrant' brings us back to the Levela we know with the twisting, bassline taking centre stage, decorated with aggressive and eerie elements and a horror show vox. We're looking forward to the full EP.

Symphony (feat Layna) - (4:41) 60 BPM
Review: Now we truly have stumbled onto a gem of a project with this one as legendary Circus Records founder Flux Pavillion returns with a full-length album project, as always, exploring the more colourful side of electronic dance music. Standing at an incredible sixteen tracks, the project is a spectacular showcase into the full range of Flux's musical ability, from the euphoric arrangements of 'I Believe' alongside Asha and 'You & I' alongside Kata Kozma, to the more experimental side of future-funk on 20:25, featuring some fabulous work from The Chain Gang Of 1974. It forms a truly outstanding listen from start to finish, with some favourites including the big room singalong flavours of 'I Will Stay' alongside Turin Breaks, the crunchy percussion of 'Twitterbird' and highly appealing vocal captures of 'Lions Cage', featuring the magnificent Nevve.

I Want You - (5:18) 172 BPM
Review: Coda & Coy are taking us back in time this week with their latest single, this one on Weapons of Choice Recordings, by rolling things out over two tracks in the stripped back, sample heavy style so renowned in the 1990s. The title tune packs a sample you'll have heard from producers like L-Side, and it stretches its legs over a wonderfully subtle yet hard hitting combination of moving basses and rolling drums. The flip-side features more nostalgic sampling, which builds a ravey atmosphere into a feeling of suspense, cut away on the drop in wicked fashion. Sick single.

Review: Frequently spotted denting our features on DJ Vapour's 36 Hertz, SR takes the honour of second release on the freshly launched Enter The Jungle with a feisty five track homage to the breaks. Full focus on the infinitesimally diced drums on every track, whether you're snaked to the stars and back with the purring, slurring conga-shaker "Strong Island", you're pranged so hard by the drums you seek counselling from "Third Party, Fire & Theft" or whisked back to 92 on the atmospheric thermals of "Mallory Knox", we guarantee your own features will be dented as the UK producer digs deep into the root cause and reminds us where we come from.

Review: Having Halcyon Veil as your first label ain't exactly a bad start, especially when it concerns to full LPs in quick succession, but that's just how Jesse Osborne-Lanthier goes about his business. The dude isn't only a music producer, though, and has actually collaborated on the design aspects of several stellar boutique labels like Paris' MIND Records, and London's Where To Now?. He makes his debut here with a four-tracker for Germany's Raster-Noton, a legendary electronic label that dates back to the late 90s, and one which has always procured our charts with the most explorative of sounds. From "Blackwell Dynonetics" through to "Lick & A Promise", Osborne-Lanthier leads us into a world of his own, where genres are liquefied into cerebral pools of sound that have more in common with the big bang than they do with techno or noise. A stellar EP - recommended!

Review: Strictly USA business: San Diego duo Sub Killaz make their EP debut on New York imprint Digital Terror. Five tracks deep, each one precision designed with unfettered gully on their mind. The Kathy Brown-sampling "Dreaming Of You" and "Wolf Bite" both flex on the modern jump-up sound with a lean, linear grumpy bassline. "All I Wanna Do" is a more minimal again with heaps of space to accommodate the spoken word sermon on machines. "All I Wanna Do" flips the switch with a fuller vocal sample and a wily sense of funk in the stuttering bassline and "Nightflight"-style shakers. Saving the heaviest for last, "Lessons" tears up from the off with a much broader sandpaper style bass hook. Think Taxman and you're on the right track.

Review: The guys at Freshly Squeezed have delivered us a delicious treat with this one as we delve into series 2.2 of 'Blue Cover', a fantastic collection project designed to bring out the most creative swing infused creations. Wolfgang Lohr kicks us off in collaboration with The Speakeasy Three for an authentic big band 4x4 fusion. Next, Nat Gonella and Pisk provide us with more horn led grooves before Atom Smith turns up the sauce alongside Miss Emmma on 'Not Sorry Charlie'. BURKEY then joins Atom Smith on the catchy riffs of 'Bright Like Hollywood', before we finish up on The Swing Bot's masterpiece in 'Midnight Purple'.

Review: Originally released in 2018, Dope Ammo's Influence album is the gully gift that keeps on giving. And right here it reaches the peak with the full remix set. Delivered throughout the year, this is the full collection and it takes Ammo's broad sound to the furthest possible places. Ranging from Kleu's gritty distorted take on "Old Times" to the Audiomission's piano-tickled purring steppy twist on "Take Me Back" by way of some of Ammo's own refixes like the sick tempo flexing on the Indian-flavoured "Repent" and turbo-growls of "Risky Business", these remixes don't just reflect the range of the original album but boost it even further.

"M" Megamix
Not Important - (0:16) 77 BPM
Lucifer En Discotheque - (4:56) 74 BPM
Review: The new I:Cube album is a rapid-fire collection of tracks woven together (there's a clue in that title you know) which takes the manner of a live set. The idea is essentially to bring the dance music album back to its raison d'etre, the dancefloor. To keep things interesting, the tracks are whipped through with a wonderful irreverence, as cheeky radio interludes and impulsive switch-ups keep things from staying too formulaic. Rather than some vision of a smooth, linear DJ set, this album instead takes the stance of creating pleasure through disorientation. Mr Chaix is a master of alluring grooves, and he uses that gift to really mess with your head when he changes tack, as between the edgy bleeps of "Y.O.U.R.O.C.K." and the light-hearted disco stomper "Get The Fever". Those surprise moves keep you engaged through all 23 tracks of this joyous beast. Chaix's lack of pretension is one of his greatest strengths; the I:Cube way is a direct and satisfying one. At no point is it cheesy or hackneyed, but it never tries to be too clever for its own good. With a live feel to match that immediacy, the "M" Megamix is a triumphant statement of what a dance music album should feel like. It might not be a comprehensive answer, but it certainly puts paid to all those "collection of singles" efforts out there.

Yes Basketball - "Next" - (3:29) 60 BPM
Review: Laurent Garnier and Scan X's label does a great job in showcasing emerging and established talent, and this split release is no exception. The brilliantly named Return Of The Luddites deliver the raw electro-techno of "Scream Into The Darkness". In stark contrast, Detroit techno-inspired tracks also loom large, courtesy of Skatman's string-filled "Tribute To A Dancefloor" and Squal G's more ominous "Waiting 4U". Mirroring Garnier's own wide-ranging tastes, the release also features the call and response hip-hop/drum'n'bass crossover of Joaquim Plossu, Salem Focus and Phoebe Train's "Theory Of The Tide". Taking the tempo down, Yes Basketball's "Next" is a slowed down, bugged out beatsy track.

Review: Tokyo's Nisennenmondai have been staples of the neo-krautrock movement ever since the late 1990's, and although they have appeared heavily on the excellent Smalltown Supersound, the emblematic On-U Sound feels like the perfect home for their new, and highly anticipated album. Although we used the term krautrock above, #NA actually delves into pseudo techno through tracks like #3 and even #4, to a certain extent, but whatever style the trio go for, it always manages to retain a characteristically dubbed-out tribal sound that sounds simply on-point. This definitely our album of the week, if not the month, and we urge you all to get buying pretty damn quick!

Review: After impressing with 12" excursions on IBR and Beats In Space, Matt Karmil transfers to the long-playing format for the first time. The Cologne producer's distinctive take on deep house - loose but hypnotic, featuring enveloping chords, scratchy found sounds and wonky, off-kilter rhythms - certainly suits the album format, making this debut something of a surprise winner. Karmil is at his best when lacing simple, hypnotic melodies over ultra-deep grooves, as on the enticing "Live The Dream" and "Frankrike (Float)". Yet it's arguably the album's more intriguing moments - the cut-up deep techno pulse of "Holding" and dub techno-influenced "A Lot To Share" - that catch the ear the most. Either way, it's a pretty strong debut.

Review: Metalheadz alumni Ulterior Motive go back to their roots with Guidance. Taking us back to their entry point into drum & bass and giving us a peak into their unique perception, Guidance is where it all began for Greg and James Ulterior (literally - they started in the game with a night called Guidance) Each of the four cuts rattles, worms and physically hits with stark sinewy dynamics. "The Wobbler" comes with classic SP flowage and some cool bendy synths on the fills, "Clay Ya" hurls a ton of technoid fire into the blend while "Anode" sees the south coast duo crash head on into Planet Icicle with rasping mutant techstep funk. Finally "Kamakura" is the Ulterior Motive take on halftime, all space, eastern strings and heavy mysticism. This is the way you launch your own label.

Review: This VA EP from Subconscious Audio is a wicked showcase of what creative producers can do with the minimal template, as 1 moves between sub-genre influences as diverse as liquid to jump up. 'Dark Spice' is pure gas, as a loping, heavyweight bassline touches down again and again, a relentless monotony that grinds you down with its sheer size and heft. Female vocal samples are ever present on this release and they juxtapose with the black sparseness of their surroundings, something especially apparent on 'Nightshift Kru', which packs a fat set of drums, a sub-heavy low end and shining vocals in the tops. Unreal release and an unmissable album from Subconscious crew. Bigups.

Review: With the Lolita re-edit series reaching its 22nd installment, you should be familiar with the general vibe/ethos/MO by now, so we'll dive straight in. For '212', read Skatt Brothers' 'Walk The Night' from 1979, while '214' bites L'Ectrique's 'Struck By Boogie Lightning' from the same year. '215' reworks Space's classic 'Magic Fly', '217' revisits Bionic Boogie's 'Risky Changes' (1977) while Shakatak's 'Easier Said Than Done' (1981) is reinvented on '219'. The rest of the EP draws on unidentified Eurodisco/Italo/coldwave sources, with the obligatory curveball coming in the form of '220' - Bob Dylan's 'Lay Lady Lay' as you've never heard it before.

Review: Fracture pays homage to the pirate roots with this epic release which is either a very generous EP or a very modest LP, depending on how you look at it. Either way, it absolutely bumps and rattles with total jungle authenticity. Highlights include the eerie space and early jungle elements of the title track '0860', the total slappage and choppy choppy grit of 'Buzzing Crew', the heavy pressure and deep-seeded murkery of 'Telepathy', the cheeky vocal samples of Bryan Gee on 'Blaze' and the buzzy little rave samples and super-wobbled bass on 'From The Very Top'. Review: The genius of Music From Memory has always been the label's ability to shine a light of sublime music that most will have missed. Certainly, very few will be familiar with the work of Geoffrey Landers, a Denver, Colarado-based multi-instrumentalist who recorded three albums and one single between 1982 and 1987. This superb retrospective contains material from all of these releases, deftly showcasing Landers' intriguing musical palette - a trippy mixture of vintage electronics, experimental new wave influences, strange spoken word snippets, occasional dub influences, effects-laden guitar passages, post-punk attitude, minimalist synth-funk and what would now be considered discordant art-rock. It's a stylistic melting pot that makes for wonderful listening.

Review: What better way to kick start the party than an underground dance music collection? This time it's being given to us by the fantastic team over at Back 3 who have pulled together a wonderful compilation with this one, being the second edition of the '1 More Tune' series. Featuring 15 of the most palpable 4x4 bangers, from the silky liquid flavours of Hallow's Aquifer, to the tech-induced percussive pulses of 'Peggy Cadis' from Baronna, and back around shuffling, synth-heavy halftime struts of Amalgamate's 'Save U', a delicious dubstep-infused masterclass. Overall, the pure depth of dancefloor heat this project is able to expand across is it's strongest asset, with sounds covering D&B, Breakbeat, Dubstep and more, with our highlights including the ruckus-inducing synth growls of 'The Hive & The Queen', next to the gorgeous roller soundscape of Jinbu's 'The Answer' and Erotic Cafe''s super abstract 'Alive'. Fantastic stuff.

As always with Invicta the range is right across the board as we slide and glide from smooth soul (H8TO - 'This Place', Refracta - 'Touch') right the way to utterly gutterly filth (Gonda - 'Bulll', Harley D - 'Forever') and all banger styles in between. Review: Invicta raise the birthday alarm with the first sampler of their first-year anniversary collection. Both bubbling with big vocal hooks, Bookey steps up first with a massive conscious reggae hook. Powerful lyrics packing a punch over a turbo-charged sun-kissed skank, this will be firing out of rigs all summer as the raves re-open. Joining Bookey is Invicta debutant H8TO who also goes in on the vocal focus but this time with more of a soulful flavour as he rolls out a house-flavoured bop with a nagging bassline hook and a breakdown to melt to. Happy birthday Invicta.

Originally a free download from Gonda last year, Rise switches up the beats and gives the bassline a wry twist while 'Bull' sees them linking for an all-out bassline slap-about. Big swing on the beats, cheeky on the riff and venomous bars. Invicta smash it once again.

Review: Everyone loves a proper compilation, right? What's better than having a range of artists in one condensed place? It's essentially an album with the ease of listening of a single, so we're all for it. Invicta have come out with the second edition of their one year anniversary celebration and it's packed full of jump-up bangers, one of those albums which doesn't try to be cool or sophisticated by chucking in a few fillers for the sake of diversity - it's just hard stuff here. It works great, with Harley D's 'Forever' the highlight, its jungle influences blending well with a punchy sub-bass and gargles jump up synth tears, a properly stepping track that just oozes class and shows how much Harley D's production has come on in recent times. Sick album guys.

Review: Invicta have been making some serious waves the past year or so and with a growing recognition that they're one of the best labels releasing a consistent slew of music, they're celebrating their evolution with a multi-part LP. This is the first instalment and a whole crew is on things with a six-tracker of frightening proportions, packed full of solid percussive strikes and flowing basslines. 'Dance Girl' has a seriously funky rhythmic pattern and a slick array of basslines, whilst 'Life' takes things in a funkier direction with ragga sampling and a fluid concoction of sub-heavy bass magic. There are also more melancholic, deeper sounds, as B-Plexx nails the liquid vibe on 'Too High' - top.

Review: Catch-up time! If you've yet to experience the vibes of OKey's Original Key imprint, now is the time to get acquainted... Launched in Germany this time last year, here they've put all their releases so far in one handy package. Ranging from Heist's percussion-flickering funk on "Seems Risky" to DJ Sly's horn-blazed skanky switch-up "98 Style" via Bassface Sascha & Feindsoul's badboy blaster "Sage" and Tomoyoshi's Clipz-style Q&A fireworks on "Killa Soundboy", this collection is testament to what a great year it's been for OKey... And drum & bass in general.

1-800 DINOSAUR Presents Trim
Man Like Me - (2:57) 65 BPM Hot
Waco - (3:58) 65 BPM
Played by: Caski
Review: The debut album from 1-800 Dinosaur sees a wealth of producers associated with the collective provide behind the buttons support for grime MC Trim. That means across the ten tracks, Trim spits over bars from James Blake, Airhead, Happa, Klaus, Bullion, Boothroyd and Dan Foat. Blake and Trim have plenty of form of course, with the producer delivering killer Harmonimixs of the MC back in 2012. A recent Trim 12" on 1-800 Dinosaur set the tone nicely for this album, and Happa's colourful bassline and shuddering drums on "Before I Lied" provides an early highlight as does "Man Like Me." This cut sees Trim trading blows with a super, stripped down production from Airhead, whilst Jim Blake's production on "RPG" recalls his dizzying early work for Hessle and Hemlock. Full marks to the whole crew!

Review: Dubruvvas dust of their rudimentary maths books and get busy with the digits with this crucial four-track debut on Nooch's Ransaked. Each cut slapping and tickling with the brother's signature minimalism, the title track chops us up like a finely sliced Amen, 'Gnocchi' fills us with plenty of bassline flab while 'Hostile Dub' makes us feel way more welcome and at ease than its title suggests. Finally bossman Nooch gets involved on the street scrapping stepper 'Challenge Accepted'. Fighting talk!

Review: In 2023, Music From Memory celebrates its remarkable decade-long journey with 10 - a captivating anniversary compilation that encapsulates the label's groundbreaking archival releases, cross-generational collaborations, and enduring creative partnerships. Inviting artists from their roster to contribute, the compilation weaves together a diverse tapestry of sound, featuring contributions from both foundational figures like Gigi Masin and emerging talents like The Zenmenn. Mirroring the label's ethos, 10 transcends temporal and spatial boundaries, spanning from Vito Ricci's "Da Hamptons" (1985) to Yu Su & J. Wilson's "Mitti Atar" (2023) - representing 10 countries across 17 tracks. This immersive musical journey, flowing seamlessly from start to finish, serves as a poignant reflection on Music From Memory's evolution. The compilation also becomes a significant tribute as it coincides with the passing of label co-owner Jamie Tiller during the finalisation of MFM066 - making 10 an emotionally resonant testament to the collective journey of the team.

Review: Would you rather have a fight with one massive tiger or 10 little knee-high tigers? This is the question Vital was asked before lockdown and, after a lot of consideration, this is his official statement on the situation: "10 Tigers", all of them scratching and biting to the sound of this hair-raising banger. Big midrange leads and punchy kicks, it's like a buzz saw going for soul. Elsewhere Vital considers if he prefers nines or vest to the tune of a gritty sandpaper funk riff on "Nines & Vests" and laments the long waiting time you have to endure since COVID-19 when visiting your mates in chokey with the absolutely toxic "Visiting Time". Last but not least he tells us all about his favourite shark on the firesome, big hoover bass finale "Hammer Head". Snappy!

Review: With this new compilation, 10 Track That Would Help You For Cooking But Would Clear The Dancefloor, French label I'm A Cliche break away from their more usual electro house flair, and step into the realm of the unknown, the surreal, and the deeply experimental. Ranging from post-rock to coldwave and post-punk, this compilation is all about texture and subtlety, something that can be heard in tunes like "Fathers & Sons" by Bot'Ox, or the sublimely percussive "Dead Dog Farm" by Runaway. Other stand-out moments include the fast-paced polyrhythms of "Sticky" by Dixlexsix, the slow and balearic remix of Cosmo Vitelli's "Delayer" by Quiet Village, the distorted pseudo noise journey that is "Dreams Like A Tale" by Red Axes. Excellent and fully tipped!

Review: What a fabulous box of treats to open as Liquid Drops move into their 10 year anniversary faze, celebrating that wonderful achievement with an even more wonderful collection of 22 hazey rollers. The liquid sound has become such a vast expanse for producers to explore, with this release being a great showcasing and representation of the liquid sound as a whole. Featuring the likes of Impression, Greekboy, MSdoS, Numeric Space and many more, the tracklisting is stacked with angelic episodes, entering into a spacey realm of blissful harmonic structure the further into the project we dive. For us, the clear stand outs of course include the almost game-theme-like bassline of Fishy & Antony G's 'Winter Skies', which despite its delicate nature packs a major low-ended punch. Next to this, the jazzy riffs of Soulec's 'Your Time Is Up', and stunning soundscapes of Twintone's 'Bound & Branches' also make our list of favourites, but we would genuinely recommend listening to the full project to appreciate it's true sonic beauty.

Review: The epic decade celebrations continue as DJ Hybrid's Audio Addict continue to reflect over the last 10 years at the forefront of the dnb game. Like the previous classics collection, once again we dive deep into the label's rich history to find career-shaping tunes from some of the best in the game such as Kumarachi, Warhead, Euphonique, Replicant, Nectax and many many more. A perfect chance to get up to speed on the last 10 years, or fill a few gaps in your collection, highlights include the forthright rudeness of Nectax's flutter-bass roll-up 'Labyrinth', Gravit-E's twisted growler 'Side Bitch', Scudd & Crinnion's skank-happy 'My Town' and the massive 'Takeover' VIP from the bossman himself. Massive.

Review: Audio Addict are turning ten years old, a fantastic achievement, and to mark the occasion the good people over there are releasing a wicked compilation that draws upon lots of the artists in their orbit. This first sampler features Disrupta, Jappa, Subcriminal, Crossy and K Jah across a five-track showcase of just how gully this label can be, with all five artists stepping up to remix tracks from the label back-catalogue. Disrupta takes the reins first and does so with aplomb, putting a fiery spin on DJ Hybrid's 'Shoot Em Up' and flipping it into a warped-out engine of pure dancefloor energy. At the end of the release, K Jah comes with a distinctly different vibe that's much more rough and tumble, a bouncy yet relentless bassline sitting beneath a sampled vocal from Liam Bailey that sounds unreal. Top EP and we can't wait for the full version.

Review: Founded by DJ Hybrid, one of the hardest working men in the last 10 years of jungle, Audio Addict has been a vital platform for many artists to breakthrough. Kumarachi, Agro, Scartip, RMS, Section, Jaybee and many more enjoyed early cuts on the label, who've always had an open remit that's stretched from heavier dancefloor cuts to deeper, more junglist tunes. Recently rebooted with a new plan and re-generated crew, the label now look back over many killer cuts from last decade. Highlights include the sample-smashing 'Back To Reality' (RMS) , the epic disco feels of 'All You Need To Know' (Bassface Sascha & Fiendsoul) and the bleepy, low-slung stepper 'My Days Are Cold' (Agro). Here's to another 10 years.

Review: Oh hello there Audio Addict. Celebrating their 10th anniversary in true style, DJ Hybrid's label call up some serious names to get their remix claws into many of the label's classics. Comprising the likes of Gray, DJ Gaw, K-Jah, Section, Conrad Subs, Parallel, Disrupta and so many more on-point names in modern D&B, each cut gets turbo-charged and subverted to the max. With 26 remixes, there are too many highlights to mention but you'd be mad to sleep on Disrupta's savage take on Hybrid's 'Shoot 'Em Up', Parallel's epic sweeps on Swerve's 'Massive & Crew' or GLM's cosmic take on Section's 'Perfect Space'. Happy anniversary.

Review: It's the ultimate breakthrough tune... Released back in 2014, 'Badboy' was the tune that changed the game for DJ Hybrid and boosted him to the levels he's known and respected at to this day, how he's celebrating its legacy with a series of outstanding remixes from some very talented artists including Zapya, Bish, Toby Ross, Kartoon and Lavery. Highlights range from the modern day rave slappery from Zapya, the slower breakbeat bubbles from Toby Ross, Bish's steamroller session, Lavery's face-melting drum work and Kartoon going for a classic jungle twist. Hell even Hybrid himself has delivered a killer VIP. What a package!

Review: This intense collective of artists and record labels representing all angles of drum & bass is celebrating a massive decade at the forefront of the genre. Ten years is a long time when it comes to music, but over the label's lifespan it has released music from some of the greatest and most criminally overlooked producers around. From dark, underground anthems to hyped-up, high-powers roof-raisers, this exceptional LP contains some of the finest tunes ever to be committed to release by Co-lab. Fromt he likes of Heist, Serum and Majistrate to the mighty precision and restraint of Russia's own Ceph, this is a landmark release you need for your collection. Just don't let it gather dust - air it regularly, as loud as your neighbours can bear.

Review: Holy smokes! Deep In The Jungle is now 10 years old! Huge props to the label bossman - and all-round G - DJ Hybrid who's smashed the label's repertoire and reputation over the years. Just look at the artists who've contributed to the label over the years. Lavery, Sl8r, Hungry T, RMS, Conrad Subs, Epicentre and so many more established jungle talents have all enjoyed a DITJ boost over the years and this massive VA is a reminder of that. 50 cuts from across the last decade, we're not even going to insult the rollcall here picking highlights - this is a huge collection that's essential for anyone looking to stack up on authentic jungle productions and represent one of the coolest, most consistent labels in the jungle dnb world.

Review: Dutty Audio are turning ten years old this week and boy do they know how to live large and celebrating larger, as their 10 Years of Dutty Audio compilation brings together some of the biggest names in drum & bass for a firestorm of crushing basslines and hammered up hits. Chromatic, Mefjus, Teddy Killerz, Level 2, Neve and Optiv & BTK are amongst the heavyweights on the release and it's a stellar lineup for the label to have secured. Level 2 brings one of the more considered, stripped back cuts of the compilation with 'Nothing To Fear', which has a bounciness that belies the undertones of ferocity which lie beneath it. Mefjus is on top form as per with his remix of 'Whatever', and Neve is back to his usal breaksy, creative tricks with 'Space Cowboy's'. Wicked stuff.

Review: G13 are turning Ten Years old and, like any good anniversary, it's being celebrated with a proper knees-up, hands-in-the-air type compilation of jump-up heavy hitters from a slew of slightly lesser-known artists. Rowney, Cabbie, Ovadose, Filthy Habits and more are on this one, so expect an LP that doesn't mess around in its approach to dancefloor tunage. 'Addicted To The High' by Filthy Habits demonstrates this approach with ease, a set of pitched up synth lines doing all the work - you just sit back and enjoy the ride. Big album.

Review: G13 are turning ten years old and, like any good anniversary, it's being celebrated with a proper knees-up, hands-in-the-air type compilation of jump-up heavy hitters from a slew of slightly lesser-known artists. This is the second part of that celebration and, following on from an excellent first instalment, the crew are back with even more. Rowney and Filthy Habits make a return, whilst Smoggy and more make a feature as well. Rowney ropes in MC Haribo for a screamer with 'Devastating', Lyfie takes things heavy on 'Mentality' and Slipz drags proceedings into a bouncier place with 'Drop Tight'. All round, an excellent showing from the G13 crew.

Review: Good4Nothing are turning 10 years old and are celebrating that fact in the only real way you should celebrate a label anniversary: with a big old compilation album. They've gone all-in for this one and raked up 15 tunes artists like Dutta, Ironlung, Slipz and Complex. Dutta' contribution is typically naughty, with a pulsating back end that sits just beneath a snappy drum line that includes a lovely, wooden snare that has just the right amount of bite. Part 1 of this series is a truly hedonistic banger of a compilation which is well worth checking out, we cannot wait to hear what the label has in store for us in Part 2.

Review: Good4Nothing Records always tend to put out music that rests on the foundations of UK underground, the cross-over influences of jungle and D&B. it's always a fresh sound and it always brings up connotations of Boomtown, free parties and sunny afternoons. Twisted, gnarled jump up is the main focus here in the second part of their 10-year anniversary celebrations and Complex is a good example of how it goes down, his track 'Night Time' blowing and flowing through with all the power of the winter winds. Danger's 'Falling' is yet more filth, with a powerful drum line and punchy sub-bass that bangs in and out of the range. Excellent compilation.

Review: Northern banger brigade GTA are marking a big old decade in the game with this walloping collection of beats across the spectrum. Delivered in 10s over five different themes from classics to remixes to floor-scorchers, the end result is an excitingly varied and feisty 50-strong spread of drum & bass perspectives where vibes range from Conrad Subs' utterly gully jungle vibes on his remix of Sl8r's 'Facking Jungle M8' to the thundering dancefloor wallops of Cliques' remix of the label bosses 'Pico De Gallo'. No strong is left unturned throughout the collection as we're just as like to be refreshed by liquid (Pyxis & Maykor's 'Guardian Angel') as we are flattened by venomous, laser-kissed neuro blasts (ICU's remix of 'Rip The Roof Off') Crash bang wallop what an album.

The Sound Shifter 2019 remix of X Nation's 'Wheel & Wine' stays the path with yet more vibrant jungle and it's packed full of punchiness and sharp edges - banger. Review: Gr8 scott! High R8 are celebrating 10 years of being at the forefront of dnb, grafting at the future talent coalface and we're in for a treat of a trip down memory lane. Featuring early cuts from modern day donnies like Guv, Spaow and K Motionz, the collection takes us back to 2011 then pings us around the last decade by way of crucial cuts from the likes of Damage Report, Dub Bezerker, Nu Elementz, Sub Killaz and beyond. Highlights include the still-raw 'Blood' from Guv, the stripped-back vibe and grungey bass slaps of Diskize's 'Rain' and the haunted cries and sense of tension in Filthy Habits' 'Hidden Secrets' but to be honest the whole collection slaps and really highlights how consistent and ruthlessly gully High R8 have been since they began.

Review: Gr8 news m8, High R8 are celebr8ing 10 years in the game and it's not too l8 to join the party. Agit8ing the game with abrasive, high grade grottiness and jump-up dark energy with every release, this second volume of bangers-through-the-years kicks off with a VIP of the launch tune - Guv's now modern day classic 'Blood'. The vibes get danker and danker as we continue to investig8... The gutterfunk of Dub Berzerka & Filthy Habits 'Born Bad' from 2016, Metal Work's skank-blasted 2019 cut 'Don't Know Why', Telekom's hairy 2014 tree-swinging heave-ho 'Funky Monkey' and Nu Elementz and Dub Motion's 'Tell You' (also from 2014) are just some of bangers that activ8 our senses and make us ready to instig8 a packed dancefloor. Ready for the next 10 years? It's a d8.
