Featuring a whole raft of mates and peers such as Skittles, Salo, Slay, Darkside Mo, IBeKay, Ellen Beth Abdi and Kid Katharsis, the album charges into the heart of vocal-led jungle D&B with strong shades of soul, R&B and hip-hop as Chimpo guides us through many double standards, nuances and ironies of modern life. One for the hippies, nerds, hustlers and indeed thugs, each track is a veritable highlight and resonates to a different corner of the dance from the lurking skankers on 'Darkside' to heart-eyed romantics on 'Crystal Clear'. Exceptional songwriting and D&B sonics, no one does it like Chimpo.

Review: Sully is back on Astrophonica, after his previous EP "Swandive", this time teaming up with the talented Manchester vocalist Salo for a truly unique soundscape. Instead of the usual gritty Jungle breaks, he opts for a cleaner, sharper drum sequence that perfectly complements the stripped-down bassline. Review: Minimize to maximize: two Dispatch lifers NC-17 and Dub Head go toe to toe on this exceptional pair of chunky bruisers. 'Open Fire' takes the lead with an icy sense of timeless futurism that's underpinned with a rudeboy swing in the bass department. Sitting somewhere between Breakage and C4C, this is one of those bubblers that really hits a lot of spots. Review: V Recordings do some of the best compilations in the business and their brand new Foundation series is a natural recognition of that fact. They're not being hyperbolic with the usage of the term 'Foundation' either, because this is truly an overview of some of the scene's most foundational producers. Old-school Dillinja, Krust, Roni Size and DJ Die, amongst others, make up the roster of acts that formed an integral part of the genre back in the day. The new crew is also represented, however, in the form of L-Side, Think Tonk, Nasza Linez and loads more, all of whom bring some of that V-style heat. Wicked album - one for the heads.

Review: Are you sitting comfortably? Sofa Sound don DLR most certainly is as he unleashes his third album 'Money Till I Got None'. Featuring the vocalist charms of Fox, Freddy B, Rider Shafique and Gusto, it's DLR's most forthright and firesome album to date. Focusing hard on the dance with some of his heaviest and thiccest productions to date, cuts like '1234', 'Money Games' and 'Scrimp & Save' all hit harder than a Happy Shopper value cola being dropped from a 40 storey building with 3 packs of unbranded mentos inside. Make no mistakes, this is a humungous album and yet another benchmark set by the Bristol end boss.

Review: Following the massive EP from Bunnerz last month, Make Your Era returns with another epic care package for all dnb heads. Make way for 'Harley' from Contact Point Magenta. Possibly a love letter to Harley D or maybe the start of letter to Santa for a Harley Davidson next Christmas, either way, we totally approve of each cut here. 'Harley' comes with a touch of sensual soul thanks to the vocals, 'Say You Will' comes with some very quirky, oddball funk, 'Elevator' is the roughhouse jam of the pack while 'Spaceship' sees Maurizzle and Tocsin join the pack for a high flying finale. Get your motors running!
